As a 21-year-old seeing all the comments of older generations, it makes me wonder how simple life was. Life today feels like we're at the end of the rope and it's strangling my generation. Many of my peers and I see no future not only for our nation but for our lives, so much division, so much hate, more crime and violence today, and too many problems. Even school teachers and college professors tell us that we are screwed, I wish I could experience these simpler times.

I’m 40 years old now so born in ‘79 but I’ve always liked the ‘50’s era. The music, the cars, the attitude, the confidence, the innocence, the way we dressed...the America we know today was born then and lives on in the videos, music and cars from then. I stop and talk to anyone alive then who’s willing to share their stories. I wish we connected more like people did back then. Like settling disputes on the track!

This wasn't an innocent time - these people had survived ww2 and Korea. They understood how short life could be and determined to experience enjoying it as much as possible.

what memories buried in this music so energetic. you can't stay static while listening to it, it makes you want to beat the rhythm too much. It was the time of a youth spent in the recklessness of the post-war period, swollen with too much enthusiasm, wanting to laugh, sing, flirt and get drunk on the sweets of life. thank you to all ephemeral artists who still contribute today beyond their disappearance to drag us into a whirlwind of frenzied music after having lived a stupid war, too long and so cruel for their twenty years
