Hey Anna, I want you to explain to me why, although I’m able to understand a whole lot of English written/spoken in a fluent and advanced level but, when it comes to trying speaking, I just blank out and get stuck?

According to AJ Hoge, who is also the founder of Effort English system (another great method to learn English), the reason behind this is because most of us learned English by textbooks, exams and vocabulary lists. He says that English is learned by doing, not by reading. For this, he advises listening to lots of basic English audios for 6 months. It must be a basic English that you should understand %95 of what is said in the audio, say, like in kids' videos.

Try to overcome the fear of being judged. And speak English out loud in front of a mirror while you are recording yourself. And also speak English just for fun with your friends.
