I loved that line as well but from a narcissist parent prospective. For years I tried to get emotional support and validation from a mother who for what ever reason hated me. Now I'm much older I've realised it was never about it me, it was about her she showed me who she truly was. We don't need toxic people in our lives the truth is they need us to retain their feelings of Grandiose.. this song resonates with me big time not only did I survive my mother , I also survived extreme domestic violence that almost cost my life. Both were very dark places id never wish apon my worst enemy. I hate anyone who treats another with no respect. To hell with all narcissists don't let them rent a space in our minds they don't pay rent.
