Almost 2 billion people love and cherish this book, but he feels his own personal and ambiguous opinion of the Qur'an is good enough for a public discussion, to imply that it is not very remarkable and therefore may not be from God. Does that not sound a bit narcissistic? He has a problem with the Qur'an being revealed in Arabic understood mainly by Arabs, but does not challenge other scriptures being revealed in other languages of other ethnicities. Does that not sound a bit racist? So he is just going to walk up to a Muslim and start off a conversation by covertly insulting his Holy Book? Does it sound like someone trying to have a discussion or someone trying to covertly trigger and offend this Muslim? When I first read the Holy Qur'an with translation, I was in high school and mostly indifferent towards religion. When I got to the first few verses of the second Chapter, I literally had goosebumps and I knew without a doubt it was from God. I haven't gotten that level of feeling from reading any passage from any other scripture. But that's not evidence for him or for the public. From my read, the Qur'an says about itself that it is still inside a secured tablet and it opens mainly to those who fear God or humble themselves before him and try purify themselves, while also sometimes addressing people of understanding or sincere seekers of knowledge. (hudallil-muttaqeen, laa yamassuhu illal-mutahharoon, ulul-albaab) He does not sound very humble before God talking like God should've asked him what language to reveal the Qur'an in. I don't have a problem with asking why Arabic, but framing it within his question as a poor choice because it didn't win his popularity contest sounds disingenuous and apathetic towards the answer of the query. He does not seem like people who purify themselves or improve their personality when he makes narcissistic and racist remarks. He does not sound sincere in his approach in this discussion when he starts off by saying I'm interested in talking to you about your Holy Book, but I'll tell you now it is not very impressive. It's like asking someone to talk to you about their loved one, but starting off by saying they are not very impressive. Who starts off a conversation like that?
