In the movie there is a great example of Soviet propaganda methods (around 7:00). Nikolai Yezhov, executed by NKVD, has been removed from the original image.

3 people is a party, that is from an old slavic told. 1 man can lie, 2 man can lie in 1 business, but when they come in 3 Pearson you just should check the topic. ✌️

democracy means power of the people or mob rule, if you like, and socialism is, in fact, the epitomy of that idea.

Having Rishi Sunak on a flag indeed does not scream democracy. It screams a joke.

Remember, in Russia common words have a different meaning. All words that sound nice and appeal to people are deprived of their original meaning and the positive associations are used as a cover for something opposit.

fun fact the 'soviet army' left Poland in 1993 In most countries of old eastern bloc u will still see Lenin monuments, despite decommunization there are hundreds of streets in Poland with names related to communism, till very recently Warszawa still had Lenin st.

The Soviet idea of communism is as far from Marx's writings as Spotted Dick the pudding is from medical diagnosis. Lenin was inspired by the writings but his views were so extreme even his fellow socialists thought he was going to far: the Bolsheviks were actually created BECAUSE there was a schism among the Russian socialists caused by Lenin and his supporters. And yes, Lenin did crush the opposition mercilessly, repressed anyone that would speak against his vision, he did not believe in the idea of peaceful reforms and working within the boundaries of the legal systems, but objectively his ideas definitely improved the situation of the people when compared to the Tsar's rule. And then, after Stalin's twisted times, the party in charge decided to keep some of his ideals, which resulted in the wealthy and influential living a good life while at the same time failing to catch up with the world.

Rob, you simply don't understand the differences between electoral democracy and parliamentary democracy and democracy (dissociative democracy, i.e. royal democracy), of course there is also presidential democracy and referendum democracy.... every government is legal and if Putler says that he has 999%, it is legal, because this is democracy..... what do you not understand (-: Czego nie rozumiesz ? Pozdrawiam z Polski

Read about communist Russia: Richard Pipes, Orlando Figes, Gustaw Herling-Grudziński, Ann Applebaum. Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984 are based on history of communist revolution in Russia (Orwell knew many communists and was on Spain civil war 1936-39 where communists tried to arrest and kill him and his wife). Lenin and Stalin were mass murderers murdering millions of people. Stalin is 4th biggest murderer in XX century (after Mao, Hitler and Chiang Kai-Shek). Lenin killed less people than Stalin only becouse he ruled shorter (and used war gasses against farmers uprising). It's not true that Lenin had different vision of state than Stalin, Stalin realised Lenin's vision. Hitler's state was imitating of organisation of communist state (with different ideology). Stalin was Hitler's ally until was attacked by him. Communist propaganda is blank manipulation and also Marx's writings are full of manipulation.
