I dint think about this but for turn in Yorkshire you’d hear something like too’ən for the pronunciation, because that’s how I’m used t’ saying it

Hi John! That is interesting. There is a huge difference in vowel length between the north and south. The great vowel shift, which started about 500/600 years ago, radically changed vowel lengths between different accents. In my opinion, it is what makes regional accents and English so beautiful - the variety

Of course you cannot pronounce anything without the proper eye pop. I need you to teach us Chicagoans to say Squirrel and tea
