We do have the phrase "a little birdie told me" "Me lo dijo un pajarito" It sounds, at least in spanish, a little old-fashioned and childish though

- To give someone the cold shoulder: somebody has been very cold/closed off and you can tell that they're mad but they won't actually say it. They won't talk to you or they will talk to you as little as possible; being a little rude and cold, u don't know exactly why they don't talk to you + They gave me the cold shoulder. + I'm going to give them the cold shoulder. - keep me posted: you should give me the details/the information, as soon as they're available + Please keep me posted. + I will keep you posted. + I'll keep you posted by text/via email. - a little birdie told me: to tell someone the secret but don't want to reveal the source + A: How did you know that it was my birthday? B: A little birdie told me. - to get off on the wrong foot: when you have a very bad introduction with the person and things a a little awkward + We got off on the wrong foot. - to get off on the right foot: to have a good introduction, be friendly - to pull the plug: you're going to end something or stop putting effort into a project + We're going to just pull the plug on the project. - to pull the plug: when people are in life support, in a very serious medical situation and we're no longer going to support their lives with machines because they're going to die. + They're going to pull the plug. - to lose touch: don't have any contact or communication. + We lost touch. - Please keep in touch: plz keep communication open and update me about your life - dragging your feet: to put off/delay doing something + I'm just dragging my feet about getting a new driver's license. - pardon my French: sorry I'm speaking so badly/I appropriately - stop egging them on: don't encourage the bad behavior anymore - to be the third wheel: when there are two ppl going on a date and maybe one friend decide to join them, that friend is called the third wheel. - make do with st: manage with it; survive with it + We can make do with what we have. - to teach sb a lesson: somebody should never do something again + That will teach them a lesson -take it or leave it: you can either have this offer or you can have nothing -sb is in hot water: somebody is in trouble + They're in hot water for all of those mean comments that they said. - to jump ship: to quit/leave unexpectedly - to get cold feet: to get a bit nervous and hesitating about actually doing the thing + I was gonna accept the job, but I started to get cold feet. -clear as day: something is clear, you understand something -to kick the bucket: to die (rude) - to have a bucket list: to list all the things u want to do before you die
