Hi Lucy! you made me giggle when you explained about " Vertically challenged" since my country is really common to say like type of things to others..Just with a tone more creepily hilarious like " Hey, floor lump!" Pd: Hello from Colombia 😁🙃

Haha. I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. In fact I once was;my pony had escaped... and the description is very very accurate indeed in the end. Which makes me wonder about common phrases. "I nipped to the shops." A term in regular use - "I look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards." A little too regular. How many of us own a pony then?! a few

my memos from the lesson: logophile(word-loving), cascade(waterfall/series of them), dispel(1Lnot2inPS), sticking point, vertically challenged, lanky(thin, skinny, angular like a teenager), 2fill out/2b filled out, windswept, scruffy, scrub up well(as in clean up well), tangoed(having a conspicuous fake orange tan), salt-and-pepper(partially grey hair, of hair), unkempt(known word, must use more2recall when needed)😸💖 i decided to share for i thought the words highlighted in the lesson were somehow more apt for the intermediate lvl(b1 prob?)🙈😸 although i honestly have no idea

I appreciate your videos so much. And with this one, I have learnt the most beautiful, tender word ever: sun-kissed. How cute is that!! What I also appreciate (and I am always waiting for it, when you say "lovely students". 😊 I think it's nice to be addressed as a lovely student, even though I'm over 60. I feel valued. Thank you so much for your videos, beautiful teacher! ❤ Greetings from Switzerland.

Lucy and classmates, 🙌🏻🎉🥂Lovely news! When I first started viewing and subscribing and simping for everything Lucy Bella has to offer, I figured I wouldn't derive benefit in terms of learning, being that I'm honestly a fluent and native English (Am/Br) speaker with 52 years "under my belt." I mean I think we can all agree that there's some other draw for more than a few men who've subscribed here. 😉 However, here's the news! ☘ I'm finding that I've been able to summon marvellous recall now of those Britishisms and RP, and how to identify that they're unique to the Empire or Commonwealth realms. In my work, I am an international educator who is charged with the care of students in US, Canada, UK, AUS, and even Mexican English-speakers! Therefore I must know how to switch among those variants several times a day. Thanks, English with Lucy, for giving me that extra boost I needed to really shine at work and make impact! 🔐

The 15th word 'salt-and-pepper is the same as Vietnamese phrase 'muối tiêu'. Actually we do not use 'and' since we also have a kind ò seasoning with the same name, which is used to flavor for boiled eggs or even fruit.
