What a gift Stevohdee! Thanks for sharing you gifts and teachings in a T-Riffic series!! Twelveteen thumbs up! I could have watched all 37 hours of this one and not fallen asleep. Absolutely stunning highlights in her hair, shading and the facial features...and that water in you old piece!! Interesting a photo (tin type) from 1875 and her cloth print having a "Meander" on it...the pattern you so diligently did. That pattern dates back to Roman times per some research and making some clay imprint tools of them for my daughters pottery...after you do a bakers dozen or so you see them Everywhere and approach a decent stamp...mostly. Most Grateful, Stevoh, one of the best in a long time!! ~PJ

Thanks pj, I'd love to see a gogglebox episode of someone watching my vids haha, yeah the romans borrowed from the greeks and vice versa so i didnt want to label the pattern, who knows, maybe they nicked it from mesopotamia. I do think roman when i see it though. Intriguing it was worn by an asiatic lady in 1875... hmm

Thanks Stevodee….. what an amazing craft. You are extremely skilled and talented. I have spent a few hours so far practicing my letters and numbers as your first video described. I historically have shown zero appreciable artistic capabilities so I’ve been quite surprised how well the engraving has turned out by applying your techniques. Apparently capability is the result of impeccable instruction. Again, thanks so much for all the time you invested in sharing your skills. All the best to you…… 👍👍😎👍👍

@@stevohdee8118 good video. I am very fond of carving. in this art someone suggested I attach a pattern to a workpiece and trace with a needle. but in the video you scan the image with carbon paper. my question if i transfer the image to the workpiece and delete it after tracing it with acetone do you think it will work?

more wow...I Can't even do stick figures. hahahah. I just put a 14" bed on my mini lathe. Figuring out how to put the pop up magic staff lead screw cover on it. Making it more close tolerance while I'm at it...THEN going back to the engraving practice. Thanks for you instructions.

Bloody brilliant, Stevo, I used to carve leather, until the printer crapped out, human faces always gave me the sh!ts, don't think I ever did one that I was happy with, would you use the same technique for G10 or Micarta?. Thanks for the great series, Scott.

Bagaimana anda memindahkan gambar di gading? Karbon atau transfer gambar? Aku melihat gading sudah di poles. Bukankah permukaan akan licin dan mengkilap akan susah dengan karbon

After ivory polished i then roughed it up with 600 grit paper so graphite paper would transfer better
