it does go slightly into the surface so it is slightly engraved, you can feel the difference with the your fingernail. It's just not very deep. I am planning to make a video on this topic very soon.

Never tried this one on gold, but I did test gold plated and gold filled - worked fine. I did try the xTool F1, which has the IR module too on 9ct, 14ct gold and it worked fine. Also on gold plated and gold filled.

Hi, there are different settings for different materials. The engraving will come out this dark automatically(if you select the correct settings in the software) if you are thinking about starting an engraving business, especially for jewelry, I’d suggest you checking out other machines xTool offers. Especially the new F1 Ultra, which is a fibre laser/ diode laser combo. Perfect for metal engraving. Or the original F1. I have videos of the xTool F1 if you want to check them out and will be reviewing the F1 Ultra soon, so I’d encourage you to do some more research to see what is the best option for your needs 🙂

I’m not sure, never used this material, but I’d assume it can, since this IR module engraves into a large variety of metals.

I’ve engraved sterling silver and gold filled with this and it worked fine. You can also check out my two videos on xTool F1, which can engrave these materials too. I have also tested the F1 on 9ct, 14ct gold and sterling and fine silver all these came out great 👍🏻

@@mudja77able I prefer the rotary with d1 pro, the framing seems more visible, but u can’t engrave inside the rings with d1pro. So over all I’d go for the F1 for smaller projects like this, it is a lot faster too. it’s a great machine with a lot of possibilities.

I never managed to engrave the inside on the D1 Pro. The laser head was always in the way. It might be possible, but I personally couldn’t do that. However I did manage to engrave inside the rings with the xTool F1, easily. Check out my two videos on xtool F1 if you’re interested.

This laser module is an Infrared module (IR) which is suitable for engraving on all sorts of metals. The original machine came with a 20w module and I used that in my previous video for cutting and engraving wood. I believe it can still engrave on stainless steel, but it's not gonna work on silver, brass, copper etc.

@@vladimir7370 ahoj, diky moc 😊 no me se zatím nepodařilo laserovat dovnitř. teda pravda, od tohoto video jsem to nezkoušela. Nedařilo se mi najít správný uhel a aby laserová hlavice nezavazela. musím to vyzkoušet znovu. Ale, jestli se chystas dělat převážně prsteny a premyslis nad xTool laserem, tak mi ted přišel F1 a ten ma 10w a taky IR zabudován v sobe. příští týden ho budu zkoušet. A tím ze lasery u tohoto modelu funguji na principu zrcadel, nemusí byt předmět 100% horizontální. Tak jsem zvědavá jak to moje experimentování dopadne. během par týdnu se chystám vydat video na F1 tak si počkej, at vidíš rozdíl. Mej se krásne ☀

@@HelenaDaydreamer ok super diky.. Prave ta hlavice zavazi.. Ja mam atomstack A 10 pro... A laser hlava musi byt hodne blízko predmetu... Ale na aliexpresu jsem našel takovou čočku co se nato nasroubuje a prodlouzi se ohnisko.. Tim padem laser ma nejvetsi vykon paprsku kousek dal od hlavy a hlava pak nezavazi.. No jsem zvedav co me prijde 😀😀.. Tesim se na video.. Diky at se dari 😉.

@@vladimir7370wow, zajímavé, díky za tip a pak napis jestli čočka funguje. Jj mám ten stejný problém, hlavice musí být nízko a tím pádem se zadrhava o prsten. A když je nakloněný tak zase nelejzruje jak má. No uvidím co ten F1, jestli to na něm půjde s rotary. Měj se krasne a taky ať se daří ☀️

you should moisturise your hands
