Well I just finished it, and I balled my eyes out! It’s 3am. 😭😭😭 I think it’s really sad witnessing the death of the main characters, and hence I cried with every sad episode….. but they really built it up to his final death. Although I know he survives and has a way to come back….. but I still feel so sad that the episodes have come to an end….. may we All find love like TanTai Jin and Ye Xiwu. I’ve never seen tv shows like this, and absolutely fallen in love with the Chinese culture, clothes, language, food, people ❤❤❤❤

Ending is not as bad as I thought. His wife is still alive, his daughter carries on their bloodline, and there is still glimpse of him coming back to them when she held onto that piece of object. Unless someone tells them, are they all going to cont to believe in his "evilness"? I was getting very tired of the seesawing plot, it was giving me a headache and I wanted to quit watching this series. The reason I didn’t quit because I was mesmerizing by Lou Yun Xi’s eyes and facial expressions. His presence on the screen was so charismatic and commanding all viewer’s attention. I haven’t seen him in other roles, but he added so much dimensions and interests into this series . Very awesome actor! And the costumes in this show is out of the normal range, they are feasts to the eyes! Also, the special effects are very beautiful.

This is a great drama, but another open ending after The Starry Love actually makes me a little bit sad. Anyway, the drama is based on the novel 黑月光拿稳BE剧本. And the novel has a happy ending. Li Susu tried to find Tantai Jin for 1000 years but couldn't find him. Their daughter A Mi sneaked out to a small town once and accidentally found her father. He was reborn as Bai Ziqian but he still had the memories of Tantai Jin. Susu went to that town to find her daughter and she finally found Tantai Jin. He acted like they were strangers but later they still came home together. It was a beautiful story ❤ Oh, Youku also arranged a special part, I think this could be called a happy ending, for their members only. But there are only records of the main actor and main actress reading lines, no actual scenes.
