Gong fu is my favorite way to brew the tea. Since few years it is very important part of my life which brings peace of mind and connect random people, family, friends. No matter where and who you are, there is never to late to start your own tea story and you won't regret, believe me. Once you get it right there is no return to teabags. Have a good day tea enthusiast worldwide. Much respect for tea masters. Filip.
Tea is my vice. I love drinking different kinds of tea: sencha, oolong, chamomile, berry, rooibos, hibiscus etc. Maybe one day I'll learn & write a book about 'tea'.

Why do some people show Gongfu as discarding the first brew as it's washing tea leaves? Does this step depend on which type of tea used?

Yes, it really depends on tea used. For Pu Erh usually first brew is discarded
