I'm laughing at how he describes her to his co-workers. You would think that he just settled down with just anyone available when in actuality, he didn't compromise at all. She's the lid for his pot. Kinda realistic because we've seen couples out there that would make us unknowingly wonder why did he/she chose her/him, but they mesh well together.

Basically, Yimie's parent took Yichen in when he was 10yrs old when both his parents passed away. Hence, Yichen (including everyone else) really just see Yimie as Yichen's sister.
