I feel like they fell for each other at similar times, but it is very nice to see all the evidence laid out that ZZS was interested early on, even while simultaneously still putting his guard up!! But oh he must have hurt so much after that first moonlight rooftop date 😭

@@mittenbitten hmm.. I think a lot of his forgiveness comes from his past. He knows he did wrong with Window of Heaven, while many times thinking that he was doing the right thing, only reflecting on how wrong he was later. And when they “got back together,” it was WKX saving ZZS and Chengling from the Scorpions, so ZZS knows that he cares at least about him + Chengling if no one else. I think he also feels that with little time left to live, he just really wants to appreciate someone else’s presence in his life. I also think he mostly agrees about how greedy many of the Five Lakes Alliance is and people in general - what he disagrees on is applying that as a blanket statement to all people, and on how to respond to it. I think every time they have a conflict, WKX demonstrates care by helping ZZS and Chengling, and ZZS feels that WKX is capable of changing his ways, just like ZZS was.
