I had a feeling that he fell in love with SY during the filing, but the relationship couldn't and didn't materialize. SY is hard to read but Didi def developed feelings for her. He had to cool down and go through a painful time during which he removed himself from the role as DMS and his feeling for SY. Didi went through a lot to film the drama. He got hurt a lot, at least physically. Emotionally he probably was, too, and I am not sure SY was there for him. Didi evolved and changed just like DMS, but I don't think SY did, at least she chose not to.
