Mr. Adam can we call a multi-episodic movie called The Game of Thrones as a word - serial. I came across 2 words which seem to me the same, such words as: serial and the series. Could you please explain this word (serial) related to film?

Back in 2012 when I just started emerging myself into English environment and struggled with speaking and understanding my English teacher in extra classes which cost dramatically expensive. I had been learning English on KZbin a lot! I had watched so many teachers but still couldn't feel confident about the gist in each video. Actually Mr. Adam from Engvid was the first teacher to whom I understood and learnt how to speak. I sincerely appreciate you Mr. Adam for your contribution in my future. You're a great teacher!

I am an English language teacher. Your video really helped me a lot to specify the Verbs that show some possibility in change of the state or situation of the Subject. These verbs include getting, become etc.. Now it's easy for me to explain the verbs like these more clearly to my students without messing up their minds with confusion to these. Thanks a lot! ♥️

Галина Норикова 👨🏻🏫 Hello. In your sentence you need the adverb ‘perfectly’ not the adjective - ‘more perfectly’. Correction. ‘Perfectly ‘ does not need a modifier. It is the ultimate and without requiring further explanation. The same applies to ‘best’ or ‘greatest’ and similar superlatives.

What you call the "subject complement" is normally called the "predicative" in grammar books. In Russian, the name for this member of the sentence is even more confusing: the nominal part of the compound predicate. But this is exactly what our children are taught in school.

@sirmeowthelibrarycat4 жыл бұрын
Han Han 👨🏻🏫 Hello, Han. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. There is some confusion about your examples. I can help you with them. The first sentence should be like this - ‘It seems to be nice weather is on the way tomorrow ‘. The second sentence is better like this - ‘My friend appears to have lost some of his motivation to learn English.’ These are advanced grammar structures so well done for trying so hard to understand them.

Wow! Adam. It was a brilliant class. It enthralled me from the beginning to the ending. I really enjoyed it, and I was captured by this lesson. Question? At the copula verb "become" example. "He will become mean." In this case, a word: mean is subject complement just like on the structure for the verb to be?
