From what I've seen, newest batch of EU X24/26 have new soft that hard-locking 25km/h limit and it's impossible to unlock it... Watch out guys (soft version: 243-04T-V2.08.02)

How much is it? It loox a solid piece of kit I must say. Just followed the link to the UK retailer. I was expecting close to £5k so I was surprised that when I added the dual batteries, rack pack and changed the colour to blue it was £2034. Maybe a beefier chain on it tho.

Nobody talks about the backseat which I think is the main reason to get this bike for
@jonathanhurley4055
@jonathanhurley4055 3 ай бұрын
8" wide, 4" deep,10" long....and that is a $1800 value? The main reason, eh? I think a seat that is adjustable, as the main seat supposedly is, would be of greater interest to ME!! My 210 pounds over powers the friction of the clamp for the main seat. One suggestion: find a Thesaurus. Make a point of memorizing synonyms for the word "impressive". Also look for synonyms for 'very' & "absolute". Anyway, a damn fine e-bike. I am no expert on e-bikes, but have been a 2 wheeler non-motorized for 58 years. Maybe 8...maybe 10 bicycles (currently have a TREK). Now own this ENGWE X26, my very 1st e-bike, My Internal Combustion Engine motorized 2 wheelers started when I was 13, and saved enough money mowing lawns to buy a Yamaguchi 50 cc (1964?) . A Yamaha 350 in 1967, then a used 650 Triumph Bonneville 650 in 1968. Sold it, made $75!!! Went into military, 30 months in vietnam and had 2 years of leave saved...cashed it in and bought a brand new 1972 Norton Commando 750 ccs! My all time favorite bike, bar none. I put a single carb/intake system, Paul Dunstall pipes, and some hotshot kinda pistons and jugs, giving me somewhere in the 820 cc or so. The pistons were lightweight, special rings and other assorted little things. I put a super duper run like dragster clutch and with 2 different sets of tires/wheels. I couldn't run my sticky tires all the time. They wear out .Today a 12.1 time doesn't sound that quick....but I never lost a race on street or on track. I lived in Phoenix AZ and it was like a "thing" to ride up and down Central Ave and race from light to light. I had one issue that bit my ass several times. For some reason Norton put a zener diode in the system... it slapped the livin shit outta me 2 times over a 3 year period. The entire electrical system fails. The one advantage I had, it was right in everyone's faces. It had the shifter lever on the right side, and you went DOWN for High. UP to get a lower gear. Here is what that meant in practical terms. MY speed-shifting was apparent. A person could hear it, but it was too fast to see. It HAD to be at the very least a tenth faster ....EACH SHIFT!!!!, Only had 4 gears...never shifter into 4th racing. So only had 2 shifts or 2 tenths of a second to my advantage. I shifted without disengaging the clutch. ALMOST NEVER missed a shift. So....just a smidgeon of tire spin. This was prolly the trickiest part of the race. Gotta get to, and stay in the power band as soon as humanly possible. Some guys LOVED to show off their power, and dump the entire bike onto the bike's power band. One of 2 ( sometimes both) things happened... it bogged a little, or the wheel spun too much, so instead of the tire rolling and imparting forward motion to the bike, it burned rubber.. Still, those Honda 750s had some fucking brass balls! The right guy running it would make it a "by a nose" race. Hard to remember , but I think I redlined at 7200 rpm. But the actual power band was from about 6500-7000 rpms.I always tried to shift at about 6800....would drop down to about 5900, but it would start pulling HARD right away....and through the 6000s peak power! The shift! I would crack the throttle just the tiniest smallest amount. hit that shifter king around.nda hard. NO ONE could see the shift except my boot.... I practiced the no clutch shift a lot.... not racing,...just driving around. No clank, no grind, no crunch....just smooth as silk..... mmmmmmmMMMMM/mmmmmmMMMMMM/mmmmmMMMMMMM. Stayed in that power band. A lotta guys would wanna wind it up, high RPMs. Their shifts were like this mmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMM///mmmmMMMMMMMMMMMM///mmMMMMMMMMMMMMM They just did not know or believe that the power curve was just that...a curve...a Bell Curve. You REALLY started to lose power with about somewhere between 500 and 750 RPMs short of redline. But you tell them.... and they get all pouty and shit. So I hit the dynometer... they rely on feel.I was never able to time a shift, but man it had to be just a hudredth or so. My last bike was my 2nd favorite. Broke my heart to sell it. I had saddlebags, an electric windshield, 2 stage juiced up with intake and electronic ignition that you could chip your way to LOTSA oooomph! Then throw a cam that gets you into the power, but isn't gnarly..but made a super duper sound! Custom pipes to go with the cam, chip, various other stuff. It was the sweetest looking Indian RoadMaster I ever saw. And saw a plenty at Sturgis, Had 3 huge bags (1 rear, one on each side) heated grips and seats, with armrests for passenger. Fantastic stereo.6 speed tranny.... and it was a freakin workout when you took it from upright, to laying on its side. That happened 2 times early on with the Indian. I learned some valuable lessons about very large Bikes. Here it is, for the FNG who has the money and wants a big scooter. You fall over at very slow speeds. At very slow speeds ( parking lots, traffic lights...etc ) There is a REASON that rear brake is a Big Fucking Pedal. Forget there is even a front brake. In very slow, stop n go traffic or parking lots. Well... I appreciate being able to have my very own word salad. It is 1AM, my dog is asleep, my wife is at her moms as her 2 sisters, and niece, nephew, brother -in-law ..the entire fam damily. Me n my dog have a blast just us boys. Nighty night

Looks like a fun bike. I'm about the same height as you, so probably not one for me - even if I could afford the thing lol. I do have a couple of questions though. Is the throttle already fitted, or can you choose not to fit it for use in the UK. And is the motor restricted to 250 watt for the UK ? Or is that something you can do on that menu thing ? I ask because a mate of mine is looking to get an e-bike. He's a tall lad and isn't short of a few quid lol. I said I'd have a look on YT for him to see what's about and check on the reviews. I didn't know there'd be quite so many... 🤣

Are there are any electric bicycles on the market that have a very powerful electric motor which requires it to be registered as a motorcycle (number plates, insurance etc). In other words a electric two wheeler which has the performance of a motorcycle with the size of a bicycle.
