I have been working with Syntex testing out the AI, creating models, extracting data to list columns. The video certainly puts a sugar coating on things but there are lots of human hours involved teaching the model for the vast difference of contracts that exist. You can't just simply teach it one and expect it to work with a different quote from another vendor. The human hours spent teaching the model in hopes that the vendor continues the format or that other vendors follow a similar one can be frustrating. For contract management extraction of outside org contracts this is not ideal and best suited for filling out the contract information manually into the list. On the flip side, using the model to create contract templates utilized by your organization has proven to be useful and once the e-signature is released (I want to test this Microsoft!) then it would be the cherry on the cake for our use case.

Not clear to me when we should be using AI Builder versus Syntex for document processing. There seem to be overlapping capabilities.

I don’t follow the link between the content assembly placeholders and the ‘behind the scenes’ Power Automate comment at 9.02. Perhaps it an issue with the video edit and or does it relate to the conditional fields placeholder? I can’t find any help documentation on conditional fields. I understand how Power Automate can generate documents using Syntex but that is not what is being described here. Can anyone clarify?
