I think the best quote I've ever heard about this album is that while it's the best album ever made, it's not the best Pink Floyd album. Took me many years and lbs of marijuana to understand that the best Pink Floyd album is whichever one you're listening to at the moment. Enjoyed your reaction!

Dark side of the moon was my introduction to Floyd as a youngster, a little smoke enhances the experience, 1973 where has the time gone.
