Enhanced Vision System Night Landings in the Cirrus SR22

Two laps in the pattern at night, with the Cirrus EVS (Enhanced Vision System) selected in the MFD. The airplane is an SR22T-GTS, and the airport is Chicago Exec (PWK).

EVS would be invaluable for night flying. Any idea about the cost for an EVS system?

I wonder if that EVS is 4K resolution. That would be a fantastic vision. Lower resolution means have doubt.

It is definitely *not* 4k. Not by a long shot. 320x240 on the IR side...

Greg Zuro yes, occasionally. It seems to occur when going from a relatively bright area to a dark one. I think it may be switching ISO or something like that, but that’s purely a guess.

Does it *also* do CAL periodically? A CAL should blank the screen and, probably, show 'CAL' text...
