i love the new version so much! it's like the BTS ver had lots of desperatation and anguish. Ni-Ki’s voice seems to get deeper every time I hear it, like, dayum. He did so well. I had seen so many ppl on XTwitter dogging this cover but I have to say, as an ARMY who listens to Enhypen but doesn’t stan them, I enjoyed this cover a lot. I took it as a remix since the music was a bit different, but it still kept the feel & lyrics of the original. Honestly, there have been remixes of BTS songs that felt a bit “forced” to me that were done by BTS themselves (music changes didn’t fit lyrics imo) but this cover of I Need U hit the right notes for me. I watched an interview they did just before watching your reaction, & one of the guys said Bang PD was involved in the production of this cover as well. They also discussed how the lyric distribution was done (they each go sing the entire song individually first) & Ni-Ki doing the 2nd verse was decided by the producer before the everyone had finished 😆). His voice is just maturing so well.

Thanks for the reaction! This is a great cover! According to Enhypen, Bang Sihyuk approved their rendition and participated in the creative process as well (Nylon Manila interview). It was mentioned in the chat also. People have also said RM helped produce it.
