@@burtturdison4445 Yes, usually since these kids join the agencies early on, at ages of 13-14-15, they're trained for a few years- to polish their skills in terms of vocals, dance, stage presence and just teaching them the overall "Kpop idol" thing. Some agencies even insist Trainees to start writing, producing, composing songs by themselves to develop their song writing and music making skills. Usually most Kpop idols have a training period of 2-4 years. However, there are many cases where idols have debuted with a Training period of barely few months (4-8months) since they were already pretty good/ had past experience to debut sooner! There's also been cases of idols training for 7-10 years and then finally getting to debut. All of it also majorly depends on the Agency. Some Agencies just lack proper planning and they keep their trainees with them for a longgg time instead of debuting them quicker!
