For those wondering why Sunoo did not rank as number 1: I have read from Twitter that some eggies voted for Jungwon because he was in danger being ranked last on the lastest test so they formed a plan to save him by voting him during the finale. Even most of those who usually votes for Sunoo helped. They thought Sunoo would surely be saved. Sunoo ranked 8 on the final voting, good thing the producers picked him.

I see so many comments about this being scripted because Sunoo isn't the number 1 in global votes. Well, let me tell you as a predebut fan since day 1. I know lots of you here just wanna know Enhypen's beginning but in this video they ddnt put the voting process which is very very very stressful. Everyone has its own fanbase. And Sunoo is always on top with voting. Him and Heeseung are always top 1&2. During the final week of voting, fans can ONLY VOTE 2 trainees who they want to debut. If you watched the whole show you cant love all of them at these stage of the competition. And Jungwon is always on the debut list. So the fans panicked and gave up their votes for their bias to save Jungwon. Me too, I'm surprised Sunoo ddnt get #1 and we cried thinking he couldn't debut. Choosing 7 out of 9 from these boys is so hard. I-Land is a roller coaster of emotion when you watch it realtime. Did you know that if there is no Producer votes, Sunoo couldn't debut? Because he was #8 on the rank and K is #7. If all members where from globl votes K will be in the debut group. And the chaos on twitter was wild on that day. All regretted why they became complacent not voting their biases. Im happy with Enhypen members and excited for HYBE JApan group to debut. Also DAn-dan..I miss that kiddo.

Months later and I’m back watching this episode again, and the first thing I noticed are the recent comments about Jungwon and Sunoo’s ranking. My thoughts: I’m so happy that a lot of eggies/pre-debut engenes are speaking up about how this all happened, cuz it’s sad that a lot of newer engenes (who are SN-biased) who became aware of I-Land, watched it to know more about Enhypen, and they ended up being upset, or even angry, when they knew Sunoo ranked low in the final test and even questioned if the ranking was indeed real. Not that those engenes tried to discredit Jungwon, but still they pushed a newly-made narrative that I-Land really did Sunoo dirty by manipulating the votes that he so “rightfully earned” and that it was “suspicious” that Jungwon won, despite ranking last. So thank you to our former eggies who shared your stories, for telling the truth and in a way, defended JW on why he did deserve that place. Moreover, I would like to make some few points to those toxic engenes. 1. Why you guys are acting so upset about the rankings? Ya’ll didn’t even watch when it aired. You just watched this show, suddenly you think you know everything about how it all happened? You didn’t even know nor experienced the climate on stan twt, on which ilander trended, who were the biggest fandoms, what was the gp’s opinion and what were the rumors circulated back then. If you have concerns about what had happened then, ask! We’re happy to answer you. Not directly accusing that everything was a manipulation. Sn and Jw deserve more than that. 2. Jungwon got first place because of his efforts. And that’s what had the whole eggies fandom voting for him when he was in danger. He was in every debut line-up/list posted by eggies on twt. Edens worked their asses off, and the other big fandoms refusing to let go of this essential member, only for you to discredit everyone for their hardwork? You need to sit down. 3. My final point: the show’s finished for more than a year already, and another season is coming, then why the heck are you still hung up on the ranking? Enha literally said that they’re gonna forget the whole ranking and popularity, cuz they are one group, and now, family. In this case, you need to move on. All I’m saying is, Enha is now a group full of achievements and success. They’re not struggling in that egg anymore. You can watch this show again, and chat with your engene moots about what you want to reminisce on I-Land. But please refrain from making unreasonable rants and discrediting the members. And finally, move on. So, thank you for coming to my TedTalk. PS. People on comments should really stop shitting on Wonie, by pushing the scripted narrative. It may have been a shock that Sunoo didn’t top the votes on the Finale since he dominated I-Land Part 2 (as he should), but don’t forget that Wonie was the one who dominated Part 1 (Into the I-Land: rank 1, Dance Unit representative, I&Credible: rank 1), so everybody already knew how great of a performer he was. Not to mention, he was called the Hidden Ace of I-Land. If you were there during the time of the Finale, even you wouldn’t want to waste a gem like Yang Jungwon.

Jungwon really put a lot of hard work and effort and therefore I believe being number 1 suits him. all of the members that have debuted are incredibly talented and amazing they all have such a special connection with one another and I’m glad those who voted at that time chose the right members.

For those who are doubting the votings here let me tell you this... iwas rewatching and a lot of you are arguing huhu anywayyy sooo i was an eggie and..... jungwon was trending all the time since they want him to be part of the line up most sunshines,keys etc. voted for him that's why he ranked 1 in sokor...if you ask pre debut engenes they would agree that's why those that are doubting about the votes are mostly after debut stans...also not only did sunoo got lower votes also daniel, he was always in the top with sunoo.....all were practically voting for won cause they don't want him to be eliminated and let his talent go to waste, the same thing happened with jay when his global rank sky rocketed....plus edens are rich af (that's why jungwon pcs are the most expensive now) they bought los of sim to vote for won that time (fun fact... a k-engene who's biased is won bought 8k albums this is trueee y'all you can check in twitter, so imagineeee how many sims she bought when she can afford 8k albums and this is only 1 person what more his other stans)..... also ever wonder why sunoo biased engenes from sokor did not protest or made a veryyy big issue bout the votings? That's cause they know that some were complacent and voted for won instead of sn....either way i'm happy that both survived pleaseee iland was a year agooo no need to be upset or doubtful bout this especially if you were not fully aware of what happed that time! I'm a new engene and I started stanning enhypen because of jungwon. However, I didn't know them before and I just finished watching I-land recently. Prior to that, I really had no idea what would be the ranking although I already know who will debut because I wanted to experience the suspense. Of course, I was rooting for Jungwon for first place because he is my bias, but I also did not raise my expectations because, from the previous episodes, Jungwon is the least likely to rank first out of the three. So you can just imagine my surprise and delight when this announcement happened. I was super shocked and happy like my mouth just couldn't close for a good five minutes and I'm really super proud of Jungwon. I was surprised by the result but when I thought of it, it is actually not that surprising. I was on stan twitter and I frequently saw hit tweets about jungwon in i-land even though I don't follow the show. I thought he was the most popular member back then so I was also surprised by the low ranking he gets during global voting when I watched i-land. But now it all made sense. Those people who loved and appreciated jungwon advertised him like crazy and did everything possible to save him. That's why I'm almost a hundred percent sure that this is not scripted at all. I mean even bang pd is shocked!
