So yaa they do lowkey encourage that. But not the gross shipping where idols get affected and their name gets defamed. Some times when fans become too much that is when they do realease official statements but that is particularly when a guy and a girl gets shipped. That becomes an issue apparently for them. But cute friendship shipping within the group seems ok to almost all companies. Some articles suggest that some companies have made their own ship to get fame. Sometimes they let the audience see two members together but if it becomes too much they cut down on their contents to show the other. Numerous times companies have done this. But mostly everything happens non intentionally. However we have to keep in mind that companies know everything that happens in this market. So they sometimes do direct our attention as they want.
