I'm glad this video wasn't going in the direction this was going. The framing device of Plato also helps with your thesis. I haven't reached the dlc, but I'll keep your thesis in mind.

Love your work on all of the Plato in Dark Souls and Elden Ring. I can't wait for your video on emission theory. =) I just had a question, do you think that the hornsent's horns are a reference to the old mistranslation of Moses supposedly having holy horns?

Thank you for the kind words! Emission theory and the Basilisk-that’s a video I have in mind. Of course, it’s possible that the Hornsent horns have multiple sources of inspiration, but I think it’s important to recognize that it’s tangled horns specifically that they venerate, which, as I pointed out, is a literalization of the idiom “to lock horns.” The focus on conflict also fits with the Hornsent being a Timocratic society, a warrior-led form of government, which would make them spiritual seekers. The mistranslation is a great find though and fits with the use of winged serpents in the Temple of Eiglay.

Thank you for the kind words! I won’t forget you where I started😤, lol. When you say work on my clarity, what do you mean? Enunciation, how I present my ideas, the audio clarity? I’m always down to hear feedback😀

Reminds me of the Nox buildings. It also has an interesting symbol that are present in the liturgical town

@ the tower in Enir Elim and the way the lower parts hang down. I kind of saw the similarities by the siofra elevator. The bodies that form the tower also kind of remind me of it. But maybe they’re not even nox buildings but just underground. As for the symbol. In the liturgical town on the way to the Haligtree tree there’s a symbol beneath Miquella’s statue. There’s a similar symbol in Enir Elim and Belurat on the walls, arches, and pillars.

Yeah, I see some of those similarities. The wailing statues in the Eternal Cities do look similar to the bodies at the Gate of Divinity, do you think a similar ritual took place underground?
