I think that the railroad is still operational. Once a week, they bring in empty cars and take out filled cars of potash produced at the ponds further down the road. I'm not sure of the schedule during the winter. It's either Sunday or Wednesday around noon. The train originates in and returns to Grand Junction, Colorado
