He's so supportive and doesn't correct correct her mistakes but simply lets her speak and it's soooo cute. I think that a lot of people don't realize how important it is to let people simply speak when learning a language. Mistakes will be made and can be revised at the right time, but to stop someone and correct them at every little mistake is detrimental and can crush their self-esteem. She's doing great. Stanning

Victoria did excellent! And Yes, I agree! I've been learning romanian since 2015 and my first 2 years were so hard because no one allowed me to talk and would keep interrupting and making me feel bad for mistakes. My self esteem was so bad in my ability to speak. Now i'm here in Romania and folks let me talk, let me make mistakes, and are more patient. I'm now seeing a lot more progress.

Австралия Без Купюр “Stanning” is a slang word meaning that someone is a huge fan. You can call someone a “stan” instead of a “fan” and it just means that they’re a hardcore fan of whatever they stan. I feel like that’s an odd definition but it’s a thing haha

Yes. Especially at the beginning, even intermediate, levels, it's important simply to be brave and speak. That's the only way to become proficient. We correct too often at first and the new speaker has so much they're thinking about the corrections are usually interruptions, exhausting and not effective.

The reason I laugh when I hear some Americans bullying those who speak another language. It is beautiful when one can speak different languages. I think it should be mandatory that at least one or two foreign languages be taught in schools. It's so beautiful.

It's mandatory to learn welsh in Wales. It's awful. The language can be great, but it won't be useful and is very outdated and difficult; they don't teach it correctly either. People will be learning it from ages 4-5 and still know very, very little.
