The songs “fly” “if that’s what it takes” and “I don’t know” are all translated into English from the best selling french album of all time “d’eux” by Celine. If you don’t know the story behind “fly” Celine had a niece called Karine who passed away from Cystic Fybrosis at the age of 16. 💫🌈💓

I’m thinking of listening to d’eux once I’m finished all her English albums! I’m curious now! Thanks!

I love both versions of "If That's What It Takes". To me the French version has more emotional impact even though I don't speak the language.

Oh man "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" (French version of "If That's What It Takes") is probably one of my favorite favorite Céline songs ever. D'eux is a classic in the francophone world.

I did not know Rolling Stone magazine gave her first 3 albums 1 out of 5 stars, and Falling Into You 1.5 out of 5 stars....what that tells me is that the people at that magazine don't know s**t about good music....seriously. FIY features some of the most stunning vocals from ANY singer, and I honestly think every single song is great. Yes, some of the songs are lovey dovey and schmaltzy, but they all have melodic hooks, they're all earworms....and they all feature Celine's incredible vocals, every single one. It remains my favourite album from any artist.

They also gave Let’s Talk About Love 1 or 1.5 stars out of 5. I mean, what’s wrong with them. Giving a low rate to an album because they probably disliked the artist is kinda unfair imo because critics usually had to rate an albums because of the songs, arrangement etc not because the singers. I remember that i saw an article about Rolling Stones trashtalking Celine’s Taking Chances album but ended up grilled by many people, that’s what they really deserved

This album is my favorite especially track 'Mountain High (River Deep)' (Tina Turner Cover) along with track 'Call the Man' that transition to the last track 'Fly'. P.S. That my mood with 'Mountain High (River Deep)

"1.If That's What It Takes" - "2.I Don't Know" and "3.Fly" are French songs by Celine Dion: 1. Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore 2. Je Sais Pas 3. Vole, one of her greatest songs, they are from Celine Dion's biggest album in French, called D'eux, one of her best French albums, sold a lot and won awards. It is one of the biggest hits in France, in fact the only French album that made history, it was released after that album "Falling Into You". Her biggest French Albums are: 1. Dion Chante Plamondon 2. D'eux 3. S'il Suffisait D'aimer 4. 1 Fille & 4 Types 5. D'elles 6. Sans Attendre 7. Encore Un Soir ❤❤❤🎵🎶❤❤❤

The person who sing It's All Coming Back To Me Now, revealed that Celine's version was the only one she liked🤗, the best version she had seen !!! And It's All Coming Back To Me Now in Céline's version was obviously better known. I don't need to say anything about All By Myself, Celine and David Foster made the song so great, so much that most people who sing All By Myself always sing Céline's version😍🤩

Fly (original song called Vole) was written as a gift for celine, about Karine. Celine's niece who died in celine's arms.

The song "Falling Into You" had been offered to Belinda Carlisle but differences between Belinda's then record label boss and songwriter / producer Rick Nowels (who co-wrote "Falling Into You") saw the opportunity to record the song lost to her. Celine Dion then got offered the song. The next time Belinda Carlisle heard it it was on the radio with Celine's voice. I can very much envision Belinda Carlisle singing it, even before I knew she had the opportunity to record it first. Belinda Carlisle had hoped Rick Nowels would be producing her 1996 album but that task went to someone else also.

lol at he reaction to the biggest selling french single of all time. That was the song that got me into Celine. Its such a classic. Granted the lyrics are NOTHING like the french one which is about doing anything to get someone to love you again and is much darker. But the melody is genius.

I SERIOUSLY enjoyed your analysis of the album and the way you did it...every comments were simply EXACT besides 2 of the 3 songs that has been translated from French to English (I DONT KNOW and IF THATS WHAT IT TAKES)...Since i am French and I know the meaning of these 2 French versions ( JE SAIS PAS and POUR QUE TU M'AIMES ENCORE) ... your conclusion was not quite exact but all the rest was just PERFECT...love you

The US version included 14 tracks, the Canadian version included 15 tracks and the rest of the world included 16 tracks. ''Your Light'' was included in the international version (In the same title of ''Just Walk Away'' for the Colour of My Love'' album). The rest of the world is different to each country. The Australian and European included ''You Make Me Feel (Like a Natural Woman)'', the Asian market included ''To Love You More'' and the South America included the spanish version of ''All By Myself''.

This album was one of my favorites albums of her career. I love all the songs of the album, the richess of the sound of the album. All the songs was excellent, like the opening ''It's all Coming Back to Me Now'', a dramatic and excellent power ballad and one of her most popular songs of her career. One of the best pop albums of all time. In 2003, Rolling Stone chose this album from one of the 500 greatest albums of all time and this album was included in many magazine of one of the best albums of all time for a female artist. This album influenced many artist by the sound of the album. She explored rock, soul, power ballad, soft-rock, spanish influenced aside of her pop sound.

One of the problems of the albun is the order of the songs, i just can't be in one mood with all by myself and then going through declaration of love or River deep, mountain high and then listening to Call the man, like.... 👁️👁️ No, that's not how it should continues
