*These five lines describe the 49 years of Shakyamuni Buddha's Teachings* Our original true self-nature is pure. Our original true self-nature has no birth nor death. Our original true self-nature is replete. Our original true self-nature is unmoved. Our original true self-nature can manifest myriad of phenomenas.

The Buddha appears in the world to teach, help and transform beings. Buddha's Teachings help beings to break through delusion and attain awakening, leave sufferings and attain happiness. Taught beings the truth of life and the universe. Because the Buddha knew about the sufferings, he can't just let beings continue to be deluded, continue to commit evil deeds and continue suffering. Buddha hopes all beings can quickly unfold their wisdom. When our wisdom unfold, and increases every day, every month, every year, the truth of life and our surroundings will be more and more distinct to us. Definitely day by day we would become happier and happier. Day by day, we feel more and more serene, relax and comfortable. It's an indication, and it's telling us we have benefited from the Teachings. Unfortunately, majority are more superstitious and believing in the truth are few. If all beings believe in the Buddha's Teachings, practice accordingly to the teachings, each and every beings will transcend the Six Realms and reincarnation forever. All will become Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. 🙏🙏🙏Amituofo

Why is Buddhism so expensive? I don't know how it is in India, but here in the States it's ridiculous. Retreats, classes, lectures. I practice at home as best I can, and read used books and meditate. My wife and I can't afford to attend most of the events I mentioned. It seems like modern Buddhism is only available to the elite, and not to ordinary people who just want to deepen their understanding.

@user-iz3ng5sq1m Good point. Most people I regard as genuine don't care for material things. I'm thinking of Ramana Maharshi or Neem Karoli Baba, having nothing on them but a blanket and a bowl. They are Hindu, but they opened my heart to Eastern philosophy and led me to Mahayana.

The Buddha gave three hundreds lessons in his 49 years without a day rest, free of charge. There are many good books in Master Chin Kung's website translated by Silent Voices and the best retreat for anyone is to stay at home and chant the Buddha-name Amitabha Buddha. Guaranteed, you will enjoy the true benefits. Try it and it's free. 🙏🙏🙏Amituofo

@Ego Podcast How to you explain, vision where someone (like me) can sometimes, clearly see events weeks before the happen? How do you explain out-of-body experience, where someone can see their body separated from from their self, which can clearly move around CONSCIOUSLY away from that body? Yes, i had that experience, and I've studied physics and psychology, so l'm not imagining things, since millions of people often experience such metaphysical REALITIES

Thank you for sharing your experiences, which certainly touch on some profound phenomena that many find intriguing and mystifying. Experiences like precognition (seeing events before they happen) and out-of-body experiences (OBEs) have been reported across cultures and have various interpretations within different intellectual and spiritual frameworks. From a Buddhist perspective, such phenomena could be viewed through the lens of the mind's capabilities that extend beyond ordinary sensory experiences. Buddhism acknowledges that the mind is a vast and powerful entity capable of transcending the usual physical boundaries imposed by our conventional understanding of space and time. This is often explored in advanced meditation practices where the practitioner can develop abilities or insights that are beyond ordinary perception. Additionally, the Buddhist concept of "samsara" - the cycle of rebirth and existence - suggests that consciousness is not strictly limited to physical forms and can manifest in various states. This could provide a framework for understanding experiences like OBEs, where the "mind-made body" (manomayakaya) or subtle body, separates from the physical body. However, Buddhism also cautions against attachment to these experiences, emphasizing that they are not the final goal of spiritual practice but rather signs along the path that should be understood and transcended. In the realms of physics and psychology, these experiences are often studied under phenomena like "anomalous cognition" or altered states of consciousness, suggesting that our current understanding of the mind and reality is incomplete. If you're interested in exploring how these experiences relate to Buddhist teachings more deeply or discussing the scientific and psychological theories that attempt to explain them, I would be happy to delve into these topics further. It’s a fascinating intersection of spirituality and science that continues to challenge and expand our understanding of reality.

That's exactly what's been happening to me for 3 decades (after I became an atheist), even with spirits. But i'm pretty lucky to have some friends who are actually sensitives (regardless of their beliefs/religions) mostly for confirmation that I was not crazy, even a non believer has it too to a degree. Imagine the "seeing","smelling", "hearing", "vibrations/touch" and "taste appears just by looking", "energy healing" but fortunately these senses are not open all the time. Then I found Buddhism that can explain the phenomena which is hard to explain/understand, but by examining them through anicca(impermanent), annata(non self/essence), dukkha, and dependent originations. It helps me with my meditation and understanding. To be honest those abilities are addictive and fascinating, but those are attachments and cravings. If we think the teachings will eliminate them, actually Buddhism will enhance the abilities but with understanding that will make you don't wanna do it freely. Because you understood the reason, the cause and the effects. I can't explain it (it might sound repetitive if I try) since I'm still learning. It is simple though and fun in a different way but not "easy"

Thank you very much but you need to know that there are other (27) buddhas before Goutham Buddha. There are only (6) different schools of thought which are discussed by King Ajatshatru in the presence of Buddha. There is no evidence of Vedic rituals or Sanskrit language before Buddha ❤
