Ever notice that when the squad AI goes screwy, every HUD shows that the sqaud has NOT been given orders besides the default "follow me as close as you can, literally tea bag my chin if you must." The AI in this game is actually very very good, you are just a terrible comander, poetically, you are the commander right before the fight who has the nervous breakdown and doesnt relay commands to his platoon.
