Flying isn't hard (being a WT player helps) it's seeing the ground, clearly. I cannot stress this enough; mark enemies. It takes half a second to do and strafing runs can be the difference between a win and a loss, so ground/air cooperation is essential.

Another thing to note about dogfighting: There's a reason why the turn time of aircraft is listed. You will eventually win a nose-to-tail dogfight if your turn time is lower than your enemy's as long as you also make sure not to crash into anything and keep your speed up.

This was SO useful. I'v been getting a lot of joy out of taking out enemy bombers rather than ignoring them and trying to farm ground kills like probably80-90% of fighter pilots I see tend to do. BUT i had NO IDEA about landing gear or flap options or any of that! I'v been steering with my mouse and hating how slow I turned and griping about how hard it is to NOT fly past my targets even at my slowest speed when im behind them. FLAPS! So important, good info bud!

I have been the Bain of other fighters and infantryman as of late last night I wiped 2 or three squads because I got the wiped out achievement which is kill a whole squad of enemy infantryman in 5 seconds or less I got 13 kills in one rocket strike

On the subject of where to bomb, pulling up the map on approach can kind of give you an idea of where the front lines are and therefore where enemies are likely to be. Also, some maps with tons of buildings are almost a waste of time to fly in. You'll be much more effective on the ground.

Small tip, on dual engine planes dont center on the lead marker, aim a little bit to the left and right. Without engines/just 1 engine the heavier and slower planes will not make it far plus you have a high chance of starting a fire, single engine planes aim ever so slightly higher to hit the pilot and engine.

One tip if you want to start flying in Enlisted: don't use German planes, at least in Normandy campaign - they have some sort of armored glass (idk what it is) on the front - one tou see through to the front, that at most angles (talking about angles relative to the sun) behaves like frosted glass: you can't see (almost) anything.

Eh, I prefer the bf 110 tbh, at least for ground attack. It's difficult to see through the glass, but because it has cannons instead of 50 cals, you can generally strafe a contested point and actually get some kills since the shells have HE. The maneuverability of the 110 is trash tho and the p38 will easily kill it in the sky. That's just in my limited experience with both those planes tho, but don't underestimate the guns on the 110.

I love the planes. And I have played a few games with these planes. But wow this game is a lot harder. And honestly I am loving it. Nothing more satisfying then seeing yourself getting better. Just hang in there people. If you know your going to lose the match your in. Use it as a training match. I hope everyone can get better so they can start having some real fun.

also be aware if your only doing 200kp/h in a bf110 or p38 your about to hit stall speed....if your speed gets below 180 its goes to be super hard to raise the nose and by about 150 kph your about to stall out and fall out of the sky......right when your plane is going fast (which the meaning changes if ur in bomber / fight / attacker)....400 kph dive for bomber is fast..go much faster than that the air move over your tail and wings get stronger and thicker....there for its alot hard to move the controls surfaces, ailerons (roll control) elevator (pitch/nose control) rudder (yaw control)....meaning if you go too fast like 550 kph in a bomber its going to be super hard too pull out of that......the faster you go the earlier you pull out, the speed at which you can pull up changes depending on your speed....p.s the air does not push your plane down.....speed actually generates more lift but more control surfaces compression

I just unlocked the p38 today. I fly in IL-2 and its fun but in enlisted i can't use my flight stick, I can't leave it connected or the game spins out of control. I tested that theory on going to fast during a dive & yup, you're right about outcome. I went right into the ground. Twice lol. It may take me a minute to get use to the controls. Very helpful video. One thing you missed is jts always favourable to attack from above it is better for maneuverability, allows you more options, better for your kinetic energy and you can force the enemy down

A-20 is my tank buster. Most people go for the hoards of infantry kills. I like to go after tanks which infantry like to hang around most of the time anyways. Like if you don’t have a team spotting for you or you don’t know where people are, you can see enemy tanks shooting their cannons from a long distance away and my advise is to home in on them. A vehicle kill helps the team by a lot (especially on invasion where you can potential save a bunch of tickets/lives) and yields a lot of xp. Another piece of advice: even though the A-20 is a bomber, make it your priority to keep other planes out of the sky before you bomb. Doing that will keep your 6 clear and leave the sky uncontested for your unrelenting bombing. About every game I end with 8-11 vehicles kills and usually top board with the A-20. Then again, I’m on console so idk how pc is with the whole plane situation.

Yeah he doesn’t know that. Sometimes it helps but for the most part the p38 and p51s are better the faster they go because unlike Germans they don’t compress so the faster you are and if your enemy matches that speed you’ll end up out maneuvering the 109s

As a war thunder veteran of flying planes, driving tanks and forgetting ships exist, my advice is: set shift to pull up, left control to pull down, A and D for left and right roll respectively, and Q and E for yaw Left and right respectively, for battlefield players this binds may seen strange but let me tell you, most of the maneuvering is way better this way, specially when dropping bombs in a dive and pulling up right after, and the crazy maneuvers that you do with roll and yaw are not needed here as air combat is really rare.... (war thunder energy fighting i mean, but it doesn’t work when you don’t have third person view to have full control) but remember first roll to one side then pull up, its a better way to turn

if you come in at a narrower angle you wont need to worry about the speed as much you do want to zoom out of the bomb run as well. you will compress but compressing doesnt push your plane down it stiffens your controls it's a gravity lock on your controls.

Just started playing, I played War Thunder years ago and other dogfighting games with an actual flight stick in the late 90s/early 2000s. Enlisted is pretty unforgiving in that it gives you no indicator of where targets are etc. I can fly about just fine and can hold my own in dogfights but any ground attacks feel totally random!

I approach at 1000 get or 800 and when I get to 1299 above objective I cut back engine and dive straight and can drop my bombs with accuracy and get kills, *Sometimes* I don't make it out of the bombing run.

I'm playing Stalingrad and have the yak7b but compared to my American fighter in the Tuscan map it's very slow but easier to control. I don't think it has as good a range as the one your showing but it's not too bad at manoeuvring. I mostly support ground units as there's usually enemy tanks and rarely fighter pilots.

After that tutorial and one practice session in practice mode i can finally do some ground bombing runs i have fighter plane but im just shooting rockets at a c and e points and its working i get sometimes 0 but sometimes like 20kill with one rocket but i have one question when i get little bit down almost at trees level i cant control my plane anymore does not matter if i press s or look up or even slow down completelly it still goes down and how can i avoid crashing at this situation? I have one theory that i can just change flaps to take off and it would work but i have not tried it yet so i need your help

Hey i mentioned them! I said your combat flaps are for dogfighting and increasing mobility and putting them up helps lift so you do it when coming out of your run! Sorry that wasnt more clear!

@@HeyQuadro be aware that planes actually have an optimum turn speed... its incorrect too say that "the slower you go the fast you will turn" cos imagine alot players are go too stall there plane fall out the sky due to a lack of air speed, managing your speed is key, your flaps will help you turn tighter until your speed gets slow low that you lose the benefit of them..I.e dropping below your optimum turn speed......also be aware that turning your plane to tight to quickly (sudden sharp turns too fast, you have to ease on the pressure) will cause you too go into a flat spin (this is because you can turn so hard your ripped ur aircraft out of the air stream, like driving a car at 70mph then suddenly rotating it 90 degree sideways to the wind..its not gonna like it) and Enlisted does not have strong instructor to stop that from happening like war thunder its nearly impossible to flat spin a plane in mouse / pointer flight mode......it is in Enlisted also i was having problems dog fights cos when i rotate my view, the mouse flight does not turn off like war thunder i set a key too turn off instructor....so when iam dog fighting now i turn it off so i can look all around and use my keyboard too steer without the point aim messing things up and its alot smoother with it off....i turn it back on to aim as....it was causing me to flat spin some times when shit hit the fan........and again i cant stress how important air speed is, if you have no idea how it affects the plane you have little hope.......there a saying i really love and its so true " altitude/height is life and speed is life insurance p.s i say this in an informative manor free from arrogance as i've played war thunder for years on and off and realistic air battles was my thing, knowing your aircraft vs what your fighting was half the battle..knowledge is power right and as side note remember that not all fighters are dog fighters.....the Bf-109 and P51 mustang are energy fighters / boom and zoom fighters......gotta use your speed and alt advantage as spitfire would run rings around p51 in dog fight...fyi

I don't know if its a problem on my part, but my pilot has a seizure when I'm trying to fly the plane and it makes controlling the plane an absolute nightmare. Got any comments or suggestions on that?

The biggest problem with ground attack in enlisted is the LOD / draw distance. You simple can't see infantry / vehicles before you're so close that you don't have time to pull up. Unless you get a fresh spot you can attack, you just end up spamming objectives.

Suggestion: Do an introduction to flying here, and have another video for BFM. The former is just kinda technical. The second is ... endlessly difficult!

Any guide how to aim rockets. Also is there any way to look around you in the plane like turning your head ?

Just know where your rockets come from on the plane. Some come from under center and some come from the wings. Go fly around in practice and shoot at tanks and youll get it easily. Hold "C" for turning your head. If youre on console i doubt theres a way

There is a kinda strange thing with the fighter plane, there is a black bar in the front which blocks the circle reticle visibility. I'm not sure why this is happening when I'm using it.

Waht do other crewmembers in the planes do? If I die(the driver if the plane) i cant switch and i am completely dead and if i press z i cant switch either And the ju188 a2 doesn't even have a machine gun but it dies show one on the back and in the front so is it just decorative or can I use them somehow

This is technically War Thunder Arcade FM with cockpit view, those that play War Thunder will easily master the basics within their first few matches.

Personally I'm trying to keep it even also if you are going down but still have some control and the map has a river or other body of water aim for it as it will soften your landing once lost a whole wing and managed to live by landing in the river.

There are 2 campaigns My advice for you: Focus on 1 Nation for each campaign don’t play both of them Russian have better Tanks & Guns imo against Germans Same goes to the USA against Germans especially the Sherman Tank & A-20 Bomber ohhhh boyyyy when it hit then it hits hard
