GOD knows in the beginning that Judas is the one who will betray Jesus, it doesn't matter if Judas is predestined to betray or not, coz without betrayal there will be no crucifixion, and if there were no crucifixion there will be no salvation, therefore, everything has already set into place, the only thing Judas mis is to do a rightful repentance like peter., all have sinned and fall short in the Glory of GOD, but what our good LORD want from us is to humble ourselves and repent from our mistakes...

Was Judas "Predestined" to Betray Jesus? The bibles Answer, No! Luke 6:12-13 shows that Jesus prayed to his father and God Jehovah, before choosing his apostles. If there were any bad thoughts in Judas's heart, Jesus would not have chosen him, because Jesus, like his father, can read hearts. ( Matthew 9:4 "Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said: “Why are you thinking wicked things in your hearts?") Judas Iscariot had free will, like we all do, and he started off well, but was enticed by his own greedy motives. So, his heart (thoughts) changed from the time he was selected as an apostle to the time he Betrayed Jesus. This is the same free will all humans have. That's why the bible is full of examples of people that were good, going bad, and people that were bad going good. Good to bad (king Solomon) bad to good. (King Ahab) (1 kings 21:20-29) so, no such thing as "Predestined" or fate, will all are giving free will. (Joshua 24:15)
