just wanted to say thank you for your patience. ive been incredibly busy. i appreciate your support + so1 was meant to have a lot of hermione granger quotes and azula quotes for sx1… but it was copyrighted, but im sure the majority have seen these series anyways so 🙏

I haven’t seen Azula typed as sx1 before but I can see it now! She strikes me as either 1 or 3 with her perfectionism. I feel like Ozai could be a sx1 too based on what we see of him

@@oscarl.3563 Nice to meet you too. I found it familiar being picky about other people, specifically the people closest to me. And of course perfectionism and seeing emotions as obstacles, although I think of emotions more as something that I don't want to share with others, as I feel that it will take a part of me for others, so I express emotions more with closer people

SX1 are my favorite of all E1s. Very motivating, can be dominating but I know that if they push me into doing something, they mean it good and actually want to help me. I like them-

Brava!--this was well worth the wait. I've seen others type Miranda Priestly as a 4 but I think 1 makes much more sense. Great examples.

So1 here. Been waiting for this one. On PDB Seto Kaiba is typed as an e8, but I'd say he's definitely an (unhealthy) sx1. Explanation here: I've been watching Yugioh lately. He's extremely disciplined, anger snd resentment are external, constantly nitpicks and criticises others' skills especially around the topic of dueling. Extremely assertive, dominating, and territorial within the realm of Duel Monsters (made an entire tournament with the goal to win the tournament). His one-on-one relationship with Mokuba is extremely important to him and he works to maintain it by diligently working on his company so that they have a good future and Mokuba can be happy. Kaiba is confident, has strong will, and views emotions as useless or inconveniences, (yet has acted on impulse out of anger to push away his imperfections). Regarding fear of imperfection, when Kaiba lost to Yugi at his own tournament, he blew up the tower and island to "bury it in the past" (or the stain of imperfection on his dueling record) along with the memory of his step-father (whom he had a terrible relationship with). Kaiba is extremely loyal (and possessive) with Mokuba and even threatened his own life in order to put Yugi in a position where, if he chose to play the last card which would make Yugi win, Kaiba would fall off of the edge of a castle (and would die). So Yugi refused to win, letting Kaiba win the battle to enter the castle where his brother was being held captive. Kaiba also approaches Duel Monsters with passion and drive, yet he remains disciplined and controlled throughout. His actions come out of a place of a need to perfect his environment by attempting to dominate and control others, and the situations around him. He views strategy and power as symbols of perfection, (therefore sees himself as superior) and rejects friendship and faith (viewing it as inferior and weak). Kaiba does not care about how others perceive him much at all. He will insult, belittle, and joke about others in front of them and see the emotional response as a sign of weakness (not disciplined and controlled = inferior). That's my analysis

I find myself ignoring emotions rather than "repressing" them. There are things to do, like the Prada lady figured, or perhaps things not-to-do like bludgeoning the next person with a blunt object. These seem like immediate concerns, while emotions or strategizing has to wait. Only if I'm up against someone really annoying - someone who keeps poking - do I actually bite my tongue and repress anger. That I recognize anyways. 1w9. And it doesn't work very well to shackle your emotions when someone is continuously trying to get a rise out of you, that's when the default 1 tactics fail me. -Conscience works intuitively, it is not a moral teaching. I don't see myself as a moralist. I loathe moralists. Just because it isn't nice to - for instance - say mean things, it does not mean that we can outlaw "hate speech" without terrible consequences. It makes the people repressed. Moral people don't know how to be(good,) they are confused, that's why they've got moral codes. It will never get them anywhere. I also hate justice and it's notions. TANJ - there ain't no justice, as Larry Niven put it. -Justice does not exist anywhere in the universe, except in the minds of people. If you pursuit it there is no end to the injustices. And see it all must have begun with "injustices." Someone experienced some pain or another, called it "injustice" and with it the idea of getting even and pursuing justice was formed. Justice is the utopian state of eradicated injustice. Which doesn't spell good fortune for you if you ever happened to be an agent of "injustice."

Honestly this is one of your best enneagram videos imo. Quick queation: What would you consider the "countertype" (if any) of e1? Since I've seen a lot of people on PDB, discuss that So 1 is it.
