+Accelluter Well he ain't dead yet. Watch out for Tarantino's latest movie, 'The Hateful Eight' 'cause the great man himself has agreed to compose the soundtrack.........now that's something to celebrate. When Ennio does cast his mortal coil, don't be sad, he had a great life & his music & influence on movie soundtracks will last until we have succeeded in annihilating each other.

All these years I wasn’t sure when would the right time (or the right age) to show this masterpiece to my daughter. Would the new generation hold on through the first 15 minutes of the movie? Would they come to appreciate the impressive camera settings, the complex story, the brilliant characters and the masterful crafted music? I was so uncertain that I could blew this movie for her by revealing it too early or too late… But the day Ennio Morricone died I decided it was time to pass on the torch to honor one of the greatest composer of our time and one of the best movies I have ever seen. We sat together on the couch in the evening and watched this masterpiece. And all the fear I had before if this movie was as timeless as I hoped was total unnecessary - my 13-year-old daughter was impressed and hooked throughout the whole movie. It’s save to say that the next generation will help us preserve it - let’s just all be brave and show it to them…

In 1970 The Grand Maestro Ennio Morricone gave an 11 year old boy the gift of what music could mean to cinema and Grand Maestro Sergio Leone put that music to the movement of film. Together they created Cinema as something new and something exciting, both bold and beautiful. No Leone film was ever without Morricone's notes to propel his Master strokes of images and sound and never were Morricone's beautiful melodies and notes more understood, needed and respected than by Sergio Leone. Together they created true post modern cinema, taking the most cherished and intimate of all cinematic genres, the American Western and Gangster film, reinventing them and making them their own. Ennio Morricone's music has never been far from my ears, my heart, my memories and the most important moments in my life. When I depart this life, his notes will usher me from this life to next. Together in life, Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone were the greatest pairing of Composer and Director in all of film history and together they live forever in their magnificent contributions to the worlds of music and cinema. And now, as a 62 year old man I must bid farewell to the Great Ennio Morricone, I cannot fathom that I am writing this........Thank You Grand Maestro Rest in Peace with your Cinematic Soul Mate and know that your music will live on forever.

I understand that Morricone composed the stunning three musical themes before the movie was ever filmed. This is my all time best Western. When it arrived in 1969, no other Western portrayed the harsh life, the dirt, and the struggle. No other Western has ever come close. It contains a timeless message of straining toward a better future.

I know this has been said already, no doubt thousands of times, but this has to be the most moving and marvellous pieces of music ever written. The soprano sings so majestically that it goes directly to the soul. We are blessed to listen to this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
@colcolt45dave610 ай бұрын
I once thought it was a soprano as well but that music is played by one lady on an instrument called a Theremin...sounds just like a soprano! kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooqapIuBfL-faNk
