that’s amazing! I also have a form of Autism, ADHD. I can speak, and I seem normal.. but when I was first getting diagnosed, I had to have a hearing test because they guessed that I might be hard-of-hearing. I would have moments where it seemed like I couldn’t hear what people were telling me, but I would really just be zoning out cause I couldn’t understand what they just said.

This video always gets me emotional :/ and it's not only cause of the lyrics, but because the passion in his signing. And it amazes me how emotional the signing is , I say this cause he's deaf as we all know, and it means he didn't hear the song to help him express those feelings. It was just BEAUTIFUL. I can watch this every hour and still get emotional lol not to mention this song bring back memories.

i'm not Deaf but I do know ASL and because of how beautiful and expressive his signing is in this video, if you know what he is saying, the words being sang almost take away from the beauty of it; so every time I watch I always mute the video. everyone else should try it! even if you don't know ASL that well it is still beautiful and gives you a whole new take on the video!

I have a best friend who is deaf. He has been dead since birth. I live in a deaf community with him. I'm 12 years old and still learning to sign. He makes me so happy. He says that ever since he saw Sean Berdy on switched at birth he is so inspired by him. He looks up to him. I love living in the deaf community and seeing my hearing friends .

As an ASL teacher/Interpreter It's wonderful to read things like this from the youth. I think that's one of the biggest reasons they started this show was to draw awareness to Deaf/hard of hearing or hh culture, community and language. I know that one large hope is that the D/deaf, hh and hearing can come together and be accepted for who they are. And they are all an inspiration and Sean Berdy is a hottie also. Such a shame they didn't like like him when I was a teenager/young adult. ;)

I don't know what to say. This really has left me speechless. Not just because it is Sean Berdy but the passion he expresses and how well he is able to do that without any words coming from his mouth is truly amazing. I think this is a great idea to start doing for the deaf community but also for us hearing folk. I have never been in a deaf community and with those wanting to integrate deafs with hearing I think this is a great thing to watch and help learn. This is a very beautiful video. Thnx

I love Sean Berdy! He is such an inspiration, after watching switched at birth I started learning sign language and I love it! I think Emmett and Bay are meant to be together, yes, he cheated on her but can't you all see the love between them? They can get through anything! There are people who have actually disliked this video. I bet it’s because they don’t know ASL, and perhaps to them, the movements are a “distraction” from the song itself - if that’s the way the feel, they should look up Enrique Iglesias’s original video. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to practice it myself, but I can see the beauty in his expression and understand far more than I can still sign. It moves me to tears. BEAUTIFUL does not encompass the full feeling that it inspires in me.
