In Enrolled Agent (EA) exams
- 100 MCQs are asked
- Out of which you get rated - based on 85 questions only
- IRS asks 15 new questions - on which you are not rated
Q) Would that be possible to identify by looking at the question, whether it is from 85 questions or 15 questions?
A) No it won't be possible to get to know this.
Generally, as we have witnessed in the past
- 1st half of the EA exam is complicated vis-a-vis 2nd half
- though there is no defined reason for it, but most likely 15 questions which are new - maybe included in the 1st half, that's why the 1st half may be complicated.
We should approach the exam by keeping this in mind, so that even if we encounter a difficult 1st half
- Don't worry
- Take a break, relax, and
- Approach the 2nd half with a fresh mind and fresh energy, don't get bogged down by the difficult 1st half.
In the EA exam, you'll get sufficient time and most likely you won't be running short of time.
So considering factors, approach your exams.
Good Luck !
