Ensenada 1940

Here is another color 16mm home movie taken by my grandparents (Peter and Norma Cormack) on a family trip to Ensenada in 1940. They stayed at the El Morro Cabin located at Punta Morro, right before you turn the corner and see Ensenada. There is a great shot of Hussong’s Cantina, as well as the Hotel Playa de Ensenada which was built in 1930. I remember visiting Ensenada for the first time on a family dive trip, also with my grandparents, in the early 60’s. I had no idea until I watched this old home movie about their earlier Mexico trips and experiences. This definitely helps explain why we traveled down annually to Baja on camping and diving trips.
