I didn't know about this chest out in the open, so thanks for the tip. I did this same thing in the deepcut camp though. If you dig or bomb out the area behind the gold chest in the cave there you can set up an alter with the chest just outside of the build range. This way you can grapple to the chest like this and avoid the enemies in the camp.

If anyone doesn't know you can speed up your farming run when exiting back to main menu. You don't have to wait for the main menu to show up on your screen, you can just press space bar then A on your keyboard then space bar twice and you load back into your would in under 2 seconds meaning you don't have to move your mouse to waste time by clicking anything

Autohotkey script not only speeds up farming, but obviously eliminates the need for dumb clicking whatsoever. Farmed the heck out of this chest, got all possible legendary gear and a metric fton of salvaged runes in less than 2 hours, only approaching PC several times to dump loot into chest and restarting script again

Cool side note. There's an iron node bellow this too. Just on the edge of the cannon to the south west. Might make a mineshaft, loot graber base here now. Be careful of the lava. Getting my items back is how I found the iron

If you have ghost glider or the next best one, some stamina regen gear and boots that reduce stamina recharge delay then 2 of the mana regen rings then the updraft perk you can fly almost forever and gain altitude. while flying after using the updraft you aim with bow then quickly glide again and it refreshes updraft to use it again. With my archer build with the crafted deadeye boots and trousers, 2 ring of rapacity and ghost glider i'm pretty sure I can fly from one side of the map to the other without touching the ground (havn't tried it yet because there is no need and its obnoxious spamming aim glide updraft over and over). So if you dont have the ghost glider or best gear you should still be able to get a bit more distance using this method with not as good of gear.

@@Arthillis While I get what you're saying... in the video he cuts to his character, mid flight, probably because he didn't want to tell you to do one thing and it doesn't actually work. I have the best glider and this jump is impossible without doing other stuff to refresh your updraft. That's the point @C0mm0nS3ns3 was making.

5:24, I'm at the spot but it is not possible to get across there by glider, and the shroud is to much for an alter of flame level 3, not sure how many more levels I need to add to pass the shroud :/

I got here by glider and you don't need an alter level at all you can technically get here as soon as you unlock the glider and updraft

If you want to get here normally you need the maximum flame level in Early Access which means lvl 6.

Looks like distances have shifted since this video was released. This location is to the 80% East 20% north of Surat's Rest. New guide below requiring ghost glider and updraft: Assuming you have a spawn/altar at the top of Pillars of Creation, the best way to get there is to fly southeast onto the large mountain/cliff which has a Flame Sanctum inside (to the east of the Flame Shrine he showed in the video). Look southeast, there's a tall rock pillar in the middle of the shroud zone. Fly towards and land there. Facing the same direction, there is a slightly lower landing area to the left. Fly there, then circle around the giant rock on the right on foot. Be careful of dragons and scorpions the first time you arrive.

I've been using the underground method on the catacomb chest ever so slightly to the east of the above ground chest to the south of kindlewaste quick travel. That chest does drop level 25 weapons and armor, but i haven't seen rings yet.

Confirmed that there are different item pools in the shrouded chests and non-shroused chests. Some are unique to the chest type. For example Helix Wand and Forsaken Bow, Banebringer bow as well as one handed Shroud damage mace drop only from Shrouded chests. Also some items don't have epic or legendary variations in the game as of now.

If you placed your flame altar too close the chest won't respawn. Make sure the chest is outside the red border of your altar.

Once you reach the glider location, you can just fly to it, as theres no shroud in between! Just go from Temple to west and you'll find it!

alright, so i just tested this for about an hour. the legendary drop rate def nerfed. i got 2 total legendaries. and it was the first time i ever opened it and again maybe 30 minutes later. I can confirm i got the Helix Wand out of this chest as my second legendary. first was the Gold 2 Hand Gullotine (spelling?). what i am after is root staff. i was on shared server and opened the oasis chest and it didnt drop so went into my own world and couldnt redo the quest. hopefully it drops out of this chest or chest in the bottom right hand corner.

They should remove equipment loot entirely from the game. Instead replacing it with the recipes and more complex afix system. Little bit of random roll and little bit of locked by certain items etc. This will make progressing your NPCs mandatory. Chest could also contain some legendary craft materials or aforementioned items locking the affixes during craft.

@@D35TR0YM4N plus this is not for everyone. I play with friends on a dedicated server and I don't have access to restarting the server after each run. The game surely isn't meant to be abused like this and they may fix this timer reset after server restart soon anyways and then all those restart-the-server-to-get-fresh-loot-tutorials will be obsolete and may confuse people in the future. A proper and honest farm guide would be to show good/efficient line to run between closest high level chests that you can repeat every 2hrs or so.

Like farming easy loot is a brand new concept to gaming. Have you considered that maybe we have already finished the game, and all we have left is to get loot. There's limited chests/bosses that drop lvl 25 loot. So what do you recommend? Get those, and then live with what you get? Start a new world? No thanks. decrease display settings and your game will speed up. I was using max quality settings and my chest would open again but no loot would be produced. Tried again with max performance settings and it's been smooth. Also watch out for your flame territory overlapping chest :)
