I did it. I just had to place a flame altar(?) at the very edge on the top of the farthest cliff, and upgrade it to 2 lvl for building zone to be not 40x40x40 but 80x80x80. After that I build some ladder and successfully glided to the other cliff. Got the glider, and am very happy indeed. +rep to Techmedic :)

Tried it. Can confirm that it's impossible to be done using the default glider starting at 3:20. It's just impossible to cross that gap. Rn I'm thinking about building some sort of tower at the furthest spot to the opposite mountain, and then just try to glide from up there. I see no other solution to that problem. So your "recommendation" about legendary glider is actually a "necessity"

Also I have no idea yet if there is a build limit in height. Afaik your building space in limited in width, but I genuinely have no idea if height is limited as well. Therefore, if I won't be able to build a highscraper there, I don't know what to do then.

Awesome you can collect the materials for the crafted legendary and make it to that island.

I did this with the advanced glider without building from a different spot, so it can probably be done with the basic glider. Start from the black cave icon that is west of the white question mark shown on the map at 3:20. Jump south to a small island that is just west of the finger-shaped peninsula, barely above the Shroud.

I was able to do this using the first glider upgrade which is very easy to craft. Where he says you need to climb to the peak to glide across, head to the peak to the west instead(can't go any further without dropping down). Build a lvl1 shrine and use the Terrain blocks(dig the sand/sandstone in the area if you need materials, you only need 1 per block) to build up as high as the lvl1 shrine will allow. From the top block, you will be able to glide south and slightly west to a low spot just above the shroud, north of where the cave passage icon is.

Can't figure out where you say you can climb up in the begining, unless you are using some kind of bug to climb where you aren't supposed to?

Use bombs and a pickaxe to carve a path in the side of the hill. Choose the hill with a slope and start to dig.

You get it from chests in the highlands and the desert area. Can't remember it's name. It's okay, but you should mix it with soldier armor that you can craft.

It is the actual item no crafting required.

I have the legendary glider and jumped from where you said but there is no way it can go that far-- you think they patched it? could you test it again?

what a nice way across the whole map. Is it possible to obtain it with having the regular "uncommon glider", not the advanced one? Wanted the OP glider in the early game

I could try but I highy doubt it die to the plumit in altitude past the specified range of the uncommon glider. :)

3:20 you can put down a flame alter on the edge on the rock and build platform to get as high and close as you can and you will be able to make it to the other side with advanced glider

It's possible with a level three alter and a whole bunch of scaffolding. You won't make the full gap but there's a small Ledge you can land on and dig your way up from. Only took me 1 repair to dig all the way up from the Ledge.

@@ashleyhorwood7861 that works too. i just had a lvl 1 alter with advanced glider and made it to the other side with a little help from scaffolding

@@ashleyhorwood7861 just jump to lower but closer cliff and 2lvl alter + default glider would be enough. Didn't dig a single rock

Gloom set found in the desert crypts.

Make sure you mix set it with the soldier helmet and gauntlets. The rest should be the gloom set. Don't use full gloom set, you can get better bonuses for damage using parts from the soldier set
