The 7th Sense was one of the most difficult choreo in Kpop.. ever, and their music is always a head of it's time. So yeah NCT set the standart since their debut.

True!! The first chapter of NCT system :))) NCT is not a simple KPOP group. They have a clearly plan and purpose. Taeyong is a genius. He has 2 personalities, Bubu mode (cute guy) and TY mode (leader boss guy). No one in KPOP like him, he’s one of a kind and only one in the world.

The 7th sense was so head of time, whether its song, choreo, vocals, rap all of it from the debut itself they made themselves a unique group. They are so talented. This song will always remain as a legendary song in kpop history. I hope they can once again choose this concept now people would go crazy.

The 7th Sense is the best debut I've ever seen. They made everyone pay attention with that R&B fusion Trap beat. They came out the gate HARD. Mello smooth and you can't touch that even if you try. The amount of swagga and flex. The minimalism is what makes this video unique. They are not reliant on bells and whistles to sway you. Vocal, rap, dancing ability is there to showcase. You can't hide in this video, that's what makes it Top Tier. You either have skills or you don't. I now grade every debut based off this MV. Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Ten became one with this track.

I feel like y’all should’ve put NCT U as the last unit. Just so that you all more familiar with all the nct members before seeing them mixed but you guys do you ig To be fair it’s still hard to be for some to be familiar with faces even after multiple watch so it might still be the same

In NCT-U's"The 7th Sense," what you are seeing, as part of NCT's dream concept, is supposed to be the use of the 7th sense. So in this MV SM used the "7th sense" to describe where NCT's dream state comes from. The 7th sense transcends the physical world and it deals with the dream realm. Humans have 5 physical senses -- sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell. The 6th sense would be, the ability to perceive or sense something that isn't there, like, for example, in the movie "The Sixth Sense" where the boy could sense ghosts. If you look up the English translation of the lyrics, you will see how they are all talking about dreaming, so each of the scenes within the MV is a different part of the dream or each of their individual dreams. (It's really worth looking up the lyrics to help understand NCT's concept and this song better.) "The 7th Sense" came out April 4, 2016, and it is NCT-U's debut. As you saw, in this song and MV, there are 5 members who debuted as the first installment of NCT-U -- Taeyong, Mark, Ten, Jaehyun and Doyoung. This was a really important MV because it was the public's first introduction to NCT and it was NCT's first debut out of all of their sub-units. What do you mean risky debut? SM never plays it safe and they aren't out to follow trends, they make their own trends and create new styles and sounds with their songs. After all the NCT-127 songs you have heard, you should know that by now ;) What about SM has ever been safe? LOL Ten is the one in red in the room with the plants; he is NCT's Thai member and he is also a member of WayV, NCT's Chinese sub-unit. Mark is the rapper in the pink tiled room and he is Korean-Canadian; and Taeyong is the blond who is the leader of all of NCT, so he looks after all 22+ members -- Can you imagine having that job? And Jaehyun -- the one you see with the blue and green lights highlighting him -- and Doyoung -- the one with the orange hair -- are two of NCT's main vocalists. NCT-U is the group that can have any number of NCT members in it depending on the concept for the song. So even though they debuted with 5 members, you will see that NCT-U is always changing up the members and the style and sound of their songs is constantly changing. NCT-U can have anywhere from all the members or only 1 or 2 members. The U stands for United, but I also like to think of it as Universal because of the way the group never has a fixed number of members. Fun fact: About 3 months after NCT-U debuted, in July 2016, Taeyong, Mark and Jaehyun debuted again as original members of NCT-127 with the song "Fire Truck" -- along with new members Taeil, Yuta, WinWin and Haechan. And then about a month later, in August 2016, Mark debuted yet again, for the third time, as part of NCT-Dream -- the only NCT member to debut in all 3 original groups -- along with Haechan, and new members Jeno, Jaemin, RenJun, Chenle and Jisung. With their song "Chewing Gum." Mark was 16/17 during all of these debuts, and yet he radiates a completely different energy with each group. However, NCT was actually introduced to the media in February 2016 as part of SM's new Neo Culture Technology concept. If you want to see NCT's official debut showcase, if you haven't already, check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaqYf6mNqL2hpJo. (Skip to 16:00 this is the part that has to do with NCT.) You don't necessarily need to react to it if you don't want, but you should check it out. I think it's kind of interesting to hear Lee SooMan's (the founder of SM) explanation about the creation of Neo Culture Technology and it's cool to see the epic way NCT was introduced to the media. The very first members of NCT entered wearing masks and their identities were revealed as they removed their masks. SM is kind of known for being a little extra and going over the top, and this presentation is a good example of that. LOL

7th sense and without u is the perfect debut song that open up their concept... Human has 5 senses scientifically, and sometime we label our instinct as 6th sense... While in NCT/ SMCU / Kwangya... NCT are the messengers that has the abilities to communicate through this 7th sense aka dream. And each unit had different type of dream...

NCT-U's "Without You" isn't really a comeback, it's considered the group's second debut song (sort of the b-side song they promoted with along with "The 7th Sense.") "Without You" was only released a day after "The 7th Sense." so it's part of the same promotional cycle. Because this was an NCT-U song, there are only 3 members that participated in this song and MV -- DoYoung and Jaehyun, who were both in "The 7th Sense", and this was the debut of new member Taeil, who is the oldest member of NCT. "Without You" is sung by the first 3 main vocalists of NCT. Fun fact: if you listen to the Mandarin Chinese version of "Without You" you will see and hear Kun, who will eventually become the leader of WayV, in the MV as a special member. However, SM didn't consider this his debut. He didn't officially debut until 2018 with NCT-2018 and their song "Black on Black." (Kun was the member who was added to make the group equal 18 members and complete the concept of NCT-2018 having 18 members to mirror the year.) Kun is Chinese so that is why he sung the Chinese version of the song and why he became the leader of WayV.

As you saw, NCT-U's "Boss" has 7 members -- Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Lucas and Mark. "Boss" came out in 2018 and this was Lucas' official debut as a member of NCT. (Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong and he was still learning Korean at this time.)This is how he was introduced, and, at the time, everyone wanted to know who the cute blond rapper was -- the one who tips the chairs. But for us fans who have been following NCT since day one, we already knew Lucas. Lucas was actually first featured as an extra in Ten's "Dream in a Dream" solo MV in 2017 and we had seen him as part of NCT's SMRookies activities as well. In the MV, what I think you see being depicted in the ceiling of the dome is something to do with the fact that it is all a dream, as well as pretty much everything that is happening in the MV. It all has to do with a dream as part of NCT's dream concept. They actually went all the way to the Ukraine to shoot the MV for "Boss." If you want to see a behind the scenes of shooting the MV there are 2 behind the scenes videos on NCT's KZbin channel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2awfJucprJ7jpo, and kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ2yhZylma9krLM, as well as several Vlog videos that were shot by the members during filming for the MV -- search "In Ukraine" on SM's KZbin channel. (NCT are kind of known for their Vlogs and several members pretty much document all aspects of their daily life, and SM posts the videos on its KZbin channel/NCT's channel.)

NCT-U "Boss" brought the debut of Lucas of WayV (this was pre-WayV debut). The entire collective that is K-Pop lost their minds over Lucas. I had never seen anything like it. Just some trivia. 😁 P.S. I wrote a comment about NCT pre-debut regarding the discussion of "7th Sense" being a risky debut but I don't see it. Let me know if it's deleted or hung up for your approval somewhere. NCT members had lots of exposure before their official debut as they were labeled SRB15 and had quite a following as trainees.
