1. All battles have a host. If it shows a "?", you just have to click "Reveal" again to see who it is. 2. Your equipment is only repaired if it's left in an auxiliary equipment slot (the boxes at the bottom) for the next fight after purchasing a repair. 3. After clicking and dragging for a strike, wait until the directional arrow flashes to show that you're at max power for the swing. You'll do more damage that way. 4. It's a good idea to keep training stamina until it's level 70+, since it's what limits how hard you can train other skills and is often the deciding factor between victory and defeat. 5. In order to win the Slave backstory, you need to save up to 100,000 fame, so only spend it when necessary! (hardest backstory to win though)

Train stam and movement early on then switch to weapons. Reveal all equipment, it costs nothing >_> And make sure you heal yourself which he didnt do from the last fight :)

I feel like Slave backstory should have you get money from your Scolla every now and then, to give you more chance to win, since you are good investment.

Be smart and greedy: whenever you see "Spoils of bla-bla-something", which allows you to get weapons and shields form arena, keep your weapon and shield home to get freebies. Works best in fights many vs one, little bit more dangerous in 1v1 - you'll have to run around till crowd thow something to you. Even if you will not use this weapon/shield, you still can keep it as backup, give to the next char or sell for cash. Also try to use this or "Start barehands" fights to repair your main weapon, because you keep it at home anyways.

to repair you need to put whatever you want to repair on the bottom slots the "inventory" per say. And for the match skip its on the top when you chose a fight it says "reroll". Each character also have different win conditions that you can see when you create a new one. to actually win you need to go in the "Victories" screen and press a button once you meet the conditions. You can also bet on matches at the bottom right of the battle choosing menu. i recommend training stamina and movement they increase survivability immensly. Hope that helps, sorry for my poor english its not my first language

If you give all of your armor and weapons for the war cause, you get a big pay day. Shields are definitely a great help. The flails are some of the best weapons. And slave is the worst role. Also, the battle where you said you need matches where you can loot weapons, was literally a match where you can loot weapons (spoils to the victor)

Drae is exactly the guy you want on your side as an indie developer. I've been watching him for years, started with Green Hell and been hooked since. Since seeing Drae pick this up a couple weeks ago, it got my curiosity and I went down a deep KZbin rabbit hole watching and studying this game more and more. I'm this close to buying it for myself, and a friend or two as well. Since watching more and learning more, as with every other game I've watched Drae play, and/or played myself (Green Hell, Gold Rush off the top of my head), he gets me practically screaming at the TV like my dad watching a football game. Keeping me entertained, while simultaneously enticing me to open my wallet and try to do it a better way, my way :D

Look for insurance fights bro. It keeps all your gear to the level you walked in with it. When I get godly arms and armor I pretty much just look for insurance fights so I don't have to repair. Eventually you'll be able to afford a extra set of gear to wear while stuff repairs if you can't find insurance fights. Also try to space our the fights, if you spam 1v1 it will skyrocket the level of those fights making them harder for you. Then you're out geared and out skilled
