That's the thing, they are so expensive. But they are so good. I've hated all the pricing, but I've bought every single palette. 😅😂 Everything from the mattes to shimmers to color story to packaging is just always spot on. They've done a couple smaller palettes but overall if you break down the price by shadow, you're actually paying less per shadow on the bigger palettes. I don't like spending that much on palettes, but they are like the "luxury" indie. Do we need all the special shades? No. Could she reduce price and have less? Of course. But I like them, so I'll buy them. I have a ton of people I know who won't spend $80 on a palette but they'll spend $90 on 4 palettes. It comes down to quality or quantity. You want 4 or 5 palettes that are okay, or do you want one outstanding palette? I prefer the one outstanding.

Even though the price is still too high for me to test the brand, I couldn't agree with you more. I don't have many palettes, but in hindsight, I think it would have been wiser to build my collection with fewer items (and therefore pay more) so that I could have spent more time on it. (I don't know what you can get for $25, but the cheapest palette I got is from Cosmic Brushes and cost me 40€, which has an honest price/quality ratio, at least for Europeans). Of course, the price also reflects the quality of the materials used to make the palette, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'd like it, and that's what bothers me the most. I've seen so many people praise Klarity, but I was very disappointed because their palettes are very fragile and I can't travel with them (I paid a lot more because I went through a European retailer...). This didn't stop me from trying several other brands (Sydney Grace, Blend Bunny, Fantasy Cosmetica, Cosmic Brushes), but it's a bit harder to swallow when you're willing to pay between 90 and 105€ (via a retailer, which is 20% more if you buy directly from the US) for Ensley Reign or Adept (without a promotional code) and the product doesn't suit you (while it makes no difference to influencers who are affiliated or received the palette for free).

@TraXs. @TraXs. So you're outside the US? So you have super high shipping on top of high prices? That's even worse. I wouldn't want to spend that much without knowing if I liked the brand or not. That has to be difficult. Ensleigh just did a $30 6-pan, but with shipping international it's probably worse. I will say, I love Ensley quality waaayyyy more than Klarity. They are expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Knowing what I know now, I'd definitely pay the higher shipping, but if you've never used their palettes that's scary. What works great on some, is crap to others. That's a lot of money to find out you don't like something. Unfortunately, yeah, influencers (not all, but most imo) don't care. They just want you to use their code. There are few influencers that have purchased Ensley on their own, but most only use out of its in PR. In their new releases they would always pass because of the cost. Then they get it in PR and it's "I can't believe I slept on this brand" uh-huh, right, now that they got it free they are pushing it. It's so annoying.

This is one of my 4 top indie brands. The only thing that I don't understand is that they don't put names on the back of the shadows because it is a magnetic palette and for the price.

I would love to try their pallette but I have too much eyeshadow already and the cost for postage to Australia is very expensive. Price wise I think they offer better value than ND and PMG. Less repeats and very distinct colours in the pallette. Maybe one day.

I love the look, esp the coppery glam. I was soooo tempted by this palette, but it's too much at this time. I've managed to not buy any eye palettes this year, which I'm proud of. I agree, I do love ER quality. I bought the original Cosmic Dreamer palette in early 2023, and some singles, and I love them! We'll see what Black Friday brings.

My favorite Ensley palette is probably Harvest Moon too. I loved the original I had and this is like the original on steroids. 🤣 I love pairing it with Flower Moon and/or Groovy Garden. I also love love Cosmic Dreamer and Lands of Enchantment. The Twisted Tea Party and Underland are also great. My last favorite is strawberry Moon but only because I don't use those colors a lot. But I've never met an Ensley Palette I haven't loved. My Midwinter Dream is a top favorite too. It's perfect for winter.

I got Harvest Moon after seeing your swatches a couple weeks ago. I dang neared cried at the mattes blending like butter. I expected great shimmers but the mattes 🤤. I’ve only used it a couple times but it is amazing. I can see myself very selectively picking more up from the brand in the future. About the price. Danessa Myricks light work palettes are $125. As someone into indie, I don’t think they are worth $125. I got light work v half off + free shipping and I’m still meh about it. Quite frankly i wished i would have just used the money for harvest moon instead. People also paid $125+ for PM motherships (before the constant sales). Would I personally spend that much? No, but I’m not into Patricia’s multiverse like that. Also everything isn’t for everyone as my granny likes to say. Just like there is drugstore/high-end/luxury in mainstream brands, I feel like there can be levels to indie brands as well 🤷🏽‍♀️. But also $88 is still a lot of money 😂 I think that now that ER has a cheaper entry into the brand more people would be willing to pay for the great formula. But she does need to find a better shipping partner because my eye twitches when it gets over $8.

I live in Australia it was going to cost me $83 in shipping alone. the pallet its self was $115 so I didn't buy it . I couldn't justify paying over $200 . But i hope to try the brand one day xx

Their palettes are stunning! But, yes, really pricey 😬 I have Cold moon, Groovy garden and flutter. I felt Harvest moon is a bit too deep for me and I get overwhelmed when palettes have way more shimmers than mattes - but it's a stunning palette 🤩 they've used an artist for Underland (I think) and for the new six pan definitely.

The first answer on their FAQS says their palette shadows are their on formula manufactured China and their singles are hand pressed mostly in house. I think it is a double standard to hassle Ensley Reign about the AI but not complain about the brands that don't do art at all like Adept or Natasha Denona. I wish people would keep the same energy for everone....

From this brand….definitely groovy garden….speaking more broadly Sydney Grace is lovely (not a lot of special shades like multichromes though) and Nomad is a great option for beginners as well

Ensley palettes are made in China but their singles are hand pressed. Which is why they are round pans and don't fit the palettes. Some of their lippies and other items are also made by Ensley. But the palettes are China.

I just wish they were more transparent about this! There is nothing wrong with their palettes being made in China, but none of their palettes I believe state where they are made and that's really weird imo.

@MrKonnoasami I'm not sure why they don't have it on the palettes anymore, I feel like I saw it on earlier releases. They do have all the info on their FAQ page. I think most indie companies are made in China. Unearthly, Adept, Bellabeautebar I think. Even Danessa Myricks. So I'm not sure why it's not on the palettes. I don't think many care. If I remember correctly they are still animal safe because although they are made there they aren't sold there? Something. That I've never got clear answers on. 🤣

they have gorgeous palettes and beautiful color stories... but... I dont like the performance of their shadows. Both their mattes and shimmers disappear in about 4 hours. And I'm not a novice by any measure nor do I have oily or dry eyelids. I have an unfathomable amount of makeup: everything from luxury to all the indie brands. If i'm going to pay that much for makeup, it needs to last all day. if the palette was $40... i might tolerate it cuz they have some unique shades. But geezus. My disappointment in their formula made me absurdly annoyed with the brand and makes me feel like they're ripping off people with cheaply-made eyeshadows.

@@iamjamila i bought the Groovy Gardens palette cuz Harvest Moon looked a little bit too dark. I love autumnal shades. The price they set their palettes at makes it cost prohibitive to try another palette to see if the disappointing performance is a one off or just their formula.
