Try triggering from a controller for skip reduction
@SyckWater5 жыл бұрын
thats what a friend of me made. since we are both more likely to make music on PC´s he recommended to use my DAW to record and a Controller to control the ASR-X

The groovebox market is so incredibly undersaturated compared to other gear markets. I wish companies would start making grooveboxes again..

Petition Behringer. They read every comment. Let em know what your dream piece or clone would be. Maybe they grant your wish! Im dreaming they hire Roger Linn and give us a real new MPC.

If you had a choice between an ASR-X Pro or an MPC2000xl which would you choose?
@TheDaydreamSound5 жыл бұрын
What's up man! Thanks for reaching out! I think they're too different to compare. They don't have much in common. I'd probably go with the MPC.

Do you think the ASR-X Pro is superior to the X? Are there any big advantages to getting the Pro?
@TheDaydreamSound4 жыл бұрын
What's up Andrew!! I'd say the ASR-X Pro is more of an update of the ASR-X. They are very similar. The ASR-X Pro offers more memory, a drum processor and recall buttons for certain saved parameters. Essentially that's about it.

I can’t remember, did you say everyone with an eps classic, 16 plus or asr should look at the asr beginners manual? Was it the asr-10 or X or Pro
@TheDaydreamSound4 жыл бұрын
What's up Dan!!! Thanks for reaching out!! Eveyrone with and EPS, EPs16+. They're very similar to each other and the manual is about 90% applicable to them.

The Daydream Sound Thanks for the quick reply! Love your channel! I’ve got an EPS I got for cheap but your channel makes me want more Ensoniq gear haha. So any of the ASR series beginners manuals are fine? Or just the 10 since it has the keys

Great video, but I think you're missing something with your approach to rackmount gear. I like to think of racks as the same thing as any other unit, just with the keyboard detached (which is basically what they are). I would suggest trying to bring your most comfortable keyboard right over to the rack, or visa versa, pretending it's all one unit, and working through a beat the same way you would with any other sampler. In time you'll start to notice that the workflow feels the same as with any other sampler...assuming the OS on the rack you're working on isn't garbage hahahaha

What's up man!!! That's the part that I don't like. I always prefer instruments that a completely self contained. That's just my personal hang up.
