Now that you have achieved the renewal standard, try adding vertical sling load, night and mountain flying to add to your skill level. Perhaps a flight instructor qualification would be another goal ? New Zealand has some excellent training facilities. Might be a nice winter break....(our summer)

i did simulated Tail rotor failure in an R22. God almighty. My instructor's foot on the pedals so I couldn't move them, and I'm co-ordinating the collective with uncorrelated throttle. Talk about hairy. What you say is true, certain procedures should be practiced more

Correct, you have to pilot yourself. A license, and plenty of practice, helps
