Jinn in Quran Jinn in Quran. The word(s) ‘Jinn’ appears 32 times in 31 verses of the Quran. However, the word Aalameen has come great many times which refers to both Human and Jinn, Yet I have only gathered the Verses that specifically has the word Jinn in them. (1) And they make the jinn associates with Allah, while He created them, and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge; glory be to Him, and highly exalted is He above what they ascribe (to Him). ( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #100) (2) And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the Shaitans from among men and jinn, some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them), and had your Lord pleased they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge. ( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #112) (3) And on the day when He shall gather them all together: O assembly of jinn! you took away a great part of mankind. And their friends from among the men shall say: Our Lord! some of us profited by others and we have reached our appointed term which Thou didst appoint for us. He shall say: The fire is your abode, to abide in it, except as Allah is pleased; surely your Lord is Wise, Knowing. ( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #128) (4) O assembly of jinn and men! did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My communications and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They shall say: We bear witness against ourselves; and this world’s life deceived them, and they shall bear witness against their own souls that they were unbelievers. ( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #130) (5) He will say: Enter into fire among the nations that have passed away before you from among jinn and men; whenever a nation shall enter, it shall curse its sister, until when they have all come up with one another into it; the last of them shall say with regard to the foremost of them: Our Lord! these led us astray therefore give them a double chastisement of the fire. He will say: Every one shall have double but you do not know. ( سورة الأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #38) (6) And certainly We have created for hell many of the jinn and the men; they have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are as cattle, nay, they are in worse errors; these are the heedless ones. ( سورة الأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #179) (7) Except those on whom your Lord has mercy; and for this did He create them; and the word of your Lord is fulfilled: Certainly I will fill hell with the jinn and the men, all together. ( سورة هود , Hud, Chapter #11, Verse #119) (8) And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. ( سورة الحجر , Al-Hijr, Chapter #15, Verse #27) (9) Say: If men and jinn should combine together to bring the like of this Quran, they could not bring the like of it, though some of them were aiders of others. ( سورة الإسراء , Al-Isra, Chapter #17, Verse #88) (10) And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance but Iblis (did it not). He was of the jinn, so he transgressed the commandment of his Lord. What! would you then take him and his offspring for friends rather than Me, and they are your enemies? Evil is (this) change for the unjust. ( سورة الكهف , Al-Kahf, Chapter #18, Verse #50) (11) And his hosts of the jinn and the men and the birds were gathered to him, and they were formed into groups. ( سورة النمل , An-Naml, Chapter #27, Verse #17) (12) One audacious among the jinn said: I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place; and most surely I am strong (and) trusty for it. ( سورة النمل , An-Naml, Chapter #27, Verse #39) (13) And if We had pleased We would certainly have given to every soul its guidance, but the word (which had gone forth) from Me was just: I will certainly fill hell with the jinn and men together. ( سورة السجدة , As-Sajda, Chapter #32, Verse #13) (14) And (We made) the wind (subservient) to Sulayman, which made a month’s journey in the morning and a month’s journey m the evening, and We made a fountain of molten copper to flow out for him, and of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the command of his Lord; and whoever turned aside from Our command from among them, We made him taste of the punishment of burning. ( سورة سبأ , Saba, Chapter #34, Verse #12) (15) But when We decreed death for him, naught showed them his death but a creature of the earth that ate away his staff; and when it fell down, the jinn came to know plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in abasing torment. ( سورة سبأ , Saba, Chapter #34, Verse #14) (16) They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them. ( سورة سبأ , Saba, Chapter #34, Verse #41) (17) And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; ( سورة الصافات , As-Saaffat, Chapter #37, Verse #158) (18) And We have appointed for them comrades so they have made fair-seeming to them what is before them and what is behind them, and the word proved true against them- among the nations of the jinn and the men that have passed away before them- that they shall surely be losers. ( سورة فصلت , Fussilat, Chapter #41, Verse #25) (19) And those who disbelieve will say: Our Lord! show us those who led us astray from among the jinn and the men that we may trample them under our feet so that they may be of the lowest. ( سورة فصلت , Fussilat, Chapter #41, Verse #29) (20) These are they against whom the word has proved true among nations of the jinn and the men that have already passed away before them; surely they are losers. ( سورة الأحقاف , Al-Ahqaf, Chapter #46, Verse #18) (21) And when We turned towards you a party of the jinn who listened to the Quran; so when they came to it, they said: Be silent; then when it was finished, they turned back to their people warning (them). ( سورة الأحقاف , Al-Ahqaf, Chapter #46, Verse #29) (22) And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. ( سورة الذاريات , Adh-Dhariyat, Chapter #51, Verse #56) (23) And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. ( سورة الرحمن , Ar-Rahman, Chapter #55, Verse #15) (24) O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority. ( سورة الرحمن , Ar-Rahman, Chapter #55, Verse #33) (25) So on that day neither man nor jinni shall be asked about his sin. ( سورة الرحمن , Ar-Rahman, Chapter #55, Verse #39) (26) In them shall be those who restrained their eyes; before them neither man nor jinni shall have touched them. ( سورة الرحمن , Ar-Rahman, Chapter #55, Verse #56) (27) No Man nor Jinn has touched before. ( سورة الرحمن , Ar-Rahman, Chapter #55, Verse #74) (28) Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, ( سورة الجن , Al-Jinn, Chapter #72, Verse #1) (29) And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: ( سورة الجن , Al-Jinn, Chapter #72, Verse #5) (30) And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: ( سورة الجن , Al-Jinn, Chapter #72, Verse #6) (31) From among the jinn and the men.
