It is fascinating to see the son of two people one knows so well, and to see how, in his body, mannerisms and ideas, he is such a fusion of his parents.

@@williamoarlock8634 Both. Many have the propensity but only intellectually or emotionally so, and never move out into the world to experience that which they were curious about. The responsibility is to broaden the definition of 'curious'.

Mind-blowing research and a lovely interview. We are all inter-connected. A challenge to discretist thinking, selfish behaviour, and indeed to the dominant neoliberal paradigm. To say we could learn a thing or two from fungi is a vast understatement - they have survived and thrived for millions of years through mass extinction events. Mutualism seems to be the paradigm shift we need.

"Soil food web" is the next larger step from this also. I can't recall the scientist in Oregon who has written books on this biological research. I studied this for biodynamics gardening horticulture work i did for many years. Its about the interrelationship of all the microorganisms in the soil and how it all works together. Minerals energetics and chemicals, nematodes, bacterias, fungi, plants roots. Its really amazing interactions and sharing and interchanging things.

There are individual Mushrooms. I can hear them talking to me telepathically sometimes when I am foraging. Some of them want to stay there and they tell me when they dont want to come with me. And these Individual Mushrooms have a different peronality and voice, then when i al talking to the Mushroom oversoul.

We are animated avatars driving around in human skin spaceships. What provides us with functionality... but the numerous intelligent microbes within this organism we call human. Our health is determined by the balance of gut flora & fauna. Fungus overgrowth causes many disease conditions because there's a war on in your body. Treat your fungus with respect. Who's to say we aren't fungus having a dream we're a human? Who do we think we are? We are what we eat, digest & assimilate. Who helps that? There's your answer.

I bought a copy of the book assuming that a book on fungi by someone called Merlin Sheldrake would be likely related the the author of another book I bought around 6 months ago called 'Science & Spirituality' by Rupert Sheldrake! I'm so lucky i took the gamble but as i haven't started it yet but after watching this it's next on the list after I finish 'Metazoa' by Peter Godfrey-Smith PS A friend of mine gave one of our cats 1/2 a black dot LSD trip in the mid '70's & the cat absolutely LOVED it!!

No, the Mushroom has already told us what is the function of pcylocibin. It allowes Hyperlight communication between fungal networks on different planets. Which is why we see multidimensional information in the trip.

He says that making it into a film wouldn't be enjoyable to watch, but the TV series The Last of Us is based on this. I kind of feel theLast of Us missed a trick (an even darker side), in that the cordyceps are effcting the bain, but as he describes it doesn't in ants, but detaches the brain and effects the muscles. So the Zombies in the Last of Us, could still be normal people trapped in their bodies, with the brain functioning but with o control of their zombies bodies. Fully aware of everything their bodies are doing, but helpless.
