It's lovely and even in damaged condition, I'd pay over 1,000 USD for it. I think it would look wonderful high on a wall in a room eclectically decorated. I love carrousel stuff and knew a place right in downtown Brooklyn, NY in the early '90s which still made totally hand-carved, authentic carrousel animals and ornaments. The ones which weren't even painted yet sold as they were, they were so beautiful already!

put together with screws, hand made, some round nails were used later to repair it. it has many coats of paint. thanks for your input, Jack

thanks CuteCatFaith, they are so neat carved over 150 or more years ago. they are like the horses, 2 to 4 thousand to restore them, but your right there is beauty in it like it is. thank you. Jack

Send a picture to Antique Archaeology. You can find them just by googling them. Those are the guys who do the show American Pickers. I guarantee you that they'd know what it is and they'd probably would respond.

Wow, it is beautiful. I am guessing that it will sell for 9.875, although your listing price is definitely a fair price for such a rare item. Btw, have you tried looking through the pictures at carousels . ? com?

New diet Jack good job, make sure your not on any statin pills its bad for your health, anyway this rounding board guess, my impression is its an old piece of painted wood from 150 years or so ago probably off a carousel, my guess would be $600.00 the way it looks based on condition.
