Assange should have been freed! Assange only leaked dirt on Clinton and nothing on Trump & Trump loved Wiki Leaks right but hey when you trust a fascist demagogue that shit happens!! Obama wouldn't prosecute Assange but that's left unsaid! Weird huh!
@yvesfree-assangescherdin6138

@@davidblaine7006 Yes, there is no better way to show one respect and love than sending that one into a dungeon for 175 years, up front spying on him, planning to poison him etc... go see the story on UC Global published by the GrayZone. "leaked nothing on Trump" - I disagree. That "Global Intelligence Files"-leak for example had some Trump related stuff; e.g. how Trump reached out to Stratfor. Why not go and check it yourself on wikileaks' website. just search for "trump". "Trump loved Wiki Leaks" - Once again, I disagree. Indeed, Trump said at a moment that he loves WikiLeaks, and that was in the moment a leak was advantagous for him. And some other time he said that he did not know what WikiLeaks is and that there should be the "death penalty or something" for what they have done. Trump has no real love for investigative journalism and not for journalism at all. While Trump was president, WikiLeaks has published for example the Vault7 documents. If you were "in love" with a certain US administration, would that be something you would do? Back to the leaks that were bad for clinton: Julian published that leak, because it was relevant. Not publishing it would have also been problematic. It is a difficult situation. I think, the moment in which you decide if you make a leak or not, is the moment where you are already political. Rather unpolitical would it be to simply leak it. No matter what the situation is. But at the end, both presidential candiadates were corrupt. Why backening any of them? Why not instead creating a 3rd party?

Assange not being freed was really bad. I agree. There were other really bad decisions, though. Muslim ban, moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, hostilty towards Iran, Yemen, Syria, Venezuela, Bolivia....loosening restrictions on land mines.... etc

If a private platform has the right to decide what needs to be censored and what doesn't they are public utilities. Perhaps there is speech that should be censored. How long is it gonna take for non-postmodernist/non-woke liberals to identify these movements as an existential problem. I got the great opportunity to go through my school/college years from the very start in 2014 and watched it not only spread throughout my generation and academia, but got to see what it did to Journalism while on scholarship at a major j-school. I believed it and was indoctrinated for several years and got a first hand experience at how mentally detrimental and corrosive it was. Please, liberals who care about the health of society, learn and pay more attention to this. After all, it is already too late.

Excellent intellectually honest, humorous discussion. Loved it! I am so sick of the gushing stupidity (or worse - complicity) of all media and ridiculous fantasy land of the right. The media world lost the plot along time ago! The skeptical part of me wonders whether Josh Hawley was stitched up as he was a real threat for the republicans party’s labor wing taking off!

I just appreciate you guys laughing at all the absurdities. You are pretty smart because your approach is fast becoming the only response worth listening to that a person can stand as an antidote to the insipidity.

Jimmy Carter was the last President who had integrity and the slightest concern for us peons. I use peons for the working class living under trickle down economics. Peed on and told it's rain.

It's a sink or swim world, and we didn't make it so. Think "thumbs" and "cerebrums", think "stop asteroids" and "move to a new planet" ; think "Planet and Sun both have "sell by dates", and we're the only creatures that have noticed"; or could do something about it if they did; then think: "Oompaloompas" and you pretty much have who we are. Anything further you can derive from existence is yours to keep.

i cant speak to Trumps integrity, but i can attest to him genuinely caring about the peons like me. carter was definitely doing good deeds after his presidency, and fdr did a lot to help bring america out of the depression.

I think the idea of "anti-Trumpism" is ridiculous. Trump was a lunatic and we had every right to be freaked out by him before he even took office. Time has proven our fears correct.

Biden's speech caused me to feel as being in an elevator starting at the ground floor, elevator music invades our minds. Painfully waiting to reach the 46th floor restaurant, we heavily sigh at each floor. The elevator door slides open. Escaping the torture, I enter the restaurant. A sign greats me: FRESH WATER & STAIL BREAD. WE ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. The Elevator music fills the room. TOILETS, $1.00 per 15 minutes.

My five-year-old nephew was in gales of laughter last night listening to the Mencken quote. I thought it might just be Tom's infectious manner, but he lost interest after that. This morning he asked to hear 'that funny thing we were listening to' again and it had the same effect. The pish to posh, flap and doodle passage especially got him.
