This map is so much more interesting than forbidden west. You can tell these areas that branch off were meant for more

In the case of this video it wasn't. These canyons that branch around are simply the cliffs you jump around during the Proving. This cave is actually clearly visible as a background detail along the brave trail.

I remember finding this in my very first hour of playing the game. I got stuck and was always afraid to go back. I thought I made a mistake somehow.

since it's on the verge of the border mountains i think this area is not a cave , it's probably more likely what result from all the creation of the mountains above it to make the world borders , they probably duplicate and created chains of mountains and placed them to close the map and just let the void under it , they probably didn't noticed that the first main entrance would lead to a hhole in the map's border sry for my bad english

You're English is fine. Also that's almost certainly what it is after the entrance area. The entrance is well decorated to look like a cave, but the area past that is just an empty space in the mountain the developers never intended for the players to reach so they didn't care to fill it in. Still a cave in the traditional sense though

Why on earth is there a ladder and rope perhapa its an abandoned location by the game designers?

Considering there isn't a way to go from the top of the ladder onto the ledge, I presume it's just meant to be a decoration. You can see this cave as you travel along the brave trail during the proving, pretty sure it's meant yo be a background detail sort of thing

I wouldn't say it's a total waste. If you're looking for stuff the developers intended for you to see, this entire series I have done isn't for you. What it's good for is for people who like finding things you might not expect, who like exploring games beyond the intended boundaries. This kind of exploration is how you find things like easter eggs in a lot of games for instance. Perhaps there's something I missed there and now that I've shown people how to get there, someone else can find the next step to go further

@@saurillian Exactly! Thank you for these walks! I regret that the developers are gradually shutting down the possibility of such explorations on PS and they remain only in mods on PC. For example, in the early versions of HFW you could land on an island north of the remains of the California bridge and hunt all sorts of wildlife there in peace. Now you can't get to that island. The game ejects on the flight to it.

@@saurillianThanx :) I have seen your video. I'm not talking about the rocky shore opposite the bridge. I'm talking about the island, which is to the right.
