I used to think of the older Shikari as better, but as I age their newer work has grown on me. The final analysis is these gents are true musicians, artists, singers and lyricists. Thanks for the surprises, The Spark is inspired

TLDR their music represents their Present selves. when they were younger their music was more volatile, like their personalities. now they have come more into themselves, matured, so has their music. i'll always love plan b. mothership, but also adieu. adeui was one of my favorite pieces from them, but was just an intro ;(
@Rob-nv7ew5 жыл бұрын
Agreed this just randomly popped up on me after I hadn't listened to Shikari in about 10 years. They used to be my favourite band then I grew past them but these new songs are amazing.

Feel the same way. Dont know why but it makes me so sad but so happy at the same time. Each new shikari album needs some time to grow to my heart but in the end it does in a unexpected and new way I didn‘t imagine and I love that they manage to do that.

no, genius. He's got the right to be critic and express a negative opinion. It's to easy to put out a statement like you did and then get away with "don't like don't listen" without arguing why. It's childish and illogical.

This song is just the pure feeling of longing and hope that we all have inside. This album got me through the darkest time of my life (for what it's worth) especially Airfield, Shinrin-Yoku, (this track, Undercover Agents) and, An Ode To Lost Jigsaw Pieces. If you're going through some shit and struggling, just know you can get through it no matter how hard it might seem and music can be a light to help you though, Enter Shikari did that for me :)

I agree that their sound has drastically changed over the past 10 years but, I like the fact that they are not afraid to try something new and experiment with different styles and genres. Both this album and The Mindsweep seem a lot more emotional, personal and technical lyrically which I find always helps bring you closer to the artist. It's not to everyone's taste I'm sure, still a million times better then most of the rubbish played in todays charts though!
